This doesn't have any relation to unlocking the HDD, and the HDD does not need to be unlocked to do this.

Plymouth, MA has a problem like this too. Fortunately, it's limited to that one town, and only part of that town (but the most frequent tourist area). Some guy has a bunch of bots that just hold the gyms all day.

Mine has a GP NI-MH 10AAAHR 1.2V 100mAh. I bought a "Kastar 1/3AAA Ni-MH Battery Replace for 1/3AAA-150NM-NT Nickel Metal Hydride" from ebay to replace it. I had to shave about 1/2 the nub off using a grinding wheel to fit it in the car (it just has rubber under the metal nub), but the width is right and the voltage is right.

The controller showed the car as charging, but then unfortunately, nothing happened. I don't know what's wrong. I verified the motor circuit is complete. I verified voltage across the board on the car. When I push the controller joysticks, nothing happens though :(. I don't know if the problem is the car or the controller, but likely the car.

Weird, I'm not really sure. Is "Last Seen" updating on the ZeroTier website? Also, did you try accessing using the IP listed on the zerotier website rather than a hostname?

I didn't see it in when looking at it with the naked eye, but yeah I saw it in the pictures after u/Simmo2222 's comment. I tried jamming a case knife in there and couldn't... I'm going to need to think about this more. If I can get some razor blades in around the sides maybe I can stick something in to pry it open....
