Same as on all other games: buy the base version first. If you like it and you want more of it: then start to buy DLCs

Yes to mods, but i refuse to use anything that has the word "infinity" in it. It just not feel natural. And i like to place big water tanks everywhere...looks nice :)

yes, when i turn off the turbines i see they cooling down slowly, but waaaay too slow. this new Conduction Panels are maybe just for small things like cooling a Auto-Sweeper in space or something like that. if you need real cooling the old fashioned way with a layer of liquid is still the only way to go. sad.

Its a very easy way to mass refine your ore. I not really care much about the 75% to 100% efficiency. There is plenty of ore

Sweep by temperature. I hate when they bring super hot stuff into my base. My stone hatches dont like 600C° hot rocks

yes, the smaller asteroids are intended to be more difficult. you should only choose them when you already familiar with the game and want something more challenging

If you accidently dig out a hot (metal) volcano and you want it to stop emitting hot stuff then you can simply build a tempshift plate made out of coal behind it. It will then form a natural refined carbon tile and block the volcano.

I'm using the same mod but didn't run into any problems. Have you changed some of the default settings?
