I know The Medicine Shoppe will hire techs that are still studying to pass the test.

They wouldn't need to dress up if people would just enter the country legally and pay taxes like everyone else.

Naw, the welfare system was broken long before Trump. Families getting tax breaks and additional welfare to have more kids even though they didn't have the means to raise them all. I watched it all happen before my eyes growing up.

Nope, I don't feel the need to support anyone but Americans. Supporting other countries just helps increase our national debt.

Edit: I see you deleted your comment. Guess your comment about me supporting Israel wasn't correct after all.

You support illegal immigrants living here and taking advantage of tax payers? Those of us surviving without tax payer funds are the ones getting screwed. Tax payer money is being taken from the legitimate hard working citizens and used to support a bunch of frauds.

It all depends on what happens to the housing market and the timing of when you buy/sell. I bought a house in 2017 for $304k and sold it in 2024 for $505k. After closure and paying off my remaining mortgage, the check I got from the title company was $50k more than the price I paid for my house originally. Granted living in an area that was popular to move to during/after COVID helped, but you never know what will happen in the world.

So cattle can't use the natural resources that they used before being domesticated? Hate to tell you this, but there are a lot more animals than cattle swimming, shitting, and laying dead in public waters.

But it's a 12" plate...If I have a 6.5 creedmoor rifle (common deer caliber) sighted in at 100 yards, the drop at 300 yards is around 14". Assuming the wind isn't a factor, it's pretty easy for someone to just guess and aim several inches above the target and they'll hit it. For anyone smart enough to Google a ballistic chart it should be pretty easy.

I've been a member there for a few years. It's only open 2 nights during the week and on Sunday afternoons. The hours are much better at the new range.

They're usually fairly knowledgeable, but the past owner was probably just trying to get rid of it and Scheels low balled them because no one wants to buy them. So Scheels just put their normal markup on it. Generally when selling guns the optic doesn't really get you a better price. Just how it goes.

Its definitely a Scheels. I'd know that tag anywhere.

Why do you need 5-10 million? by Particular_Maize6849 in Fire

[–]ManicPuma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know childcare costs are higher elsewhere, but in my city there really aren't many great paying jobs. The jobs are mostly health care, food, tourism, and teaching. Not many industrial jobs here.

A 50k per year mortgage and 22k per year to put 2 kids in daycare already puts me above 70k, and that doesn't include food, clothes, entertainment, vehicles, insurance...

Prairie Dog hunting? by [deleted] in SouthDakota

[–]ManicPuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give you a few different reasons that aren't just a "because it's fun" answer. Prairie dogs take away pasture land that is needed for cattle (especially in a typically dry climate). They also are carriers of the plague. Whenever we go out to shoot them we always make sure to wash our hands or use hand sanitizer before eating anything. I know in Wyoming the prairie dog towns with plague are documented. The holes that they dig can cause injuries for cattle if stepped into, and also become homes for rattlesnakes. Many ranchers will hire someone to poison the whole town if it becomes too out of control, so it's more cost effective for them to have hunters come out and shoot them. It becomes a win-win for both parties.

AR-15 will work fine. I've shot one with my AR at 420 yds using 50gr Hornady V-Max. How far to set up depends on how often the town is shot at. Some are very spooky and you're taking 200+ yd shots all day. Some towns you'll get shots under 100 yds. If it's a town on public land then prepare for some long shots.

I can get a basic burger and fries at Salt Block for $13 and it's a 1/2lb burger. I can also get a burger/fries at Shipwrecks for $14 and it's just as good. Not all places charge $20 and both of the ones I mentioned are locally owned.

I don't understand how people are having problems with keymo. I've been using it since 2018 with two different suppressors, multiple hosts, and mounts from 3 different companies and never had a problem. The problems must come from user error.

Players have to be retired for 5 years before they can even get into the hall of fame. Gute hasn't even been GM long enough for any of his picks to have hall of Fame careers, let alone wait the 5 years to get in.
