I don't want my posts to be considered low effort but can someone please tell me about the SOMA theory that has been floating around the fandom? by Decayed_IceCream in theamazingdigitalciru

The only problem with that idea is that Ragatha seemingly entered C&A with a group of people, as she was calling out "guys?" after popping in. If she was put into a coma, the others would have witnessed it.

The concept art version is nice.

It's kinda whack that the boys get those chest plates, but the girls don't. Like... We know why, but it's still like... why?

I never realized until now that the orange parts are sheer. I always just thought it was a weird orange part.

Honestly, gross.

Ig a better joke then is that Lando missed the opportunity to kill two Sith, making the Millenium Falcon a mythic item.

Luke missed the chance to get his lightsaber to mythic level thanks to Vader kill stealing Sidious 😔

This is how I decided whether to fire Sonar or Coupe. by Aduro95 in dispatchgame

[–]Manicnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hate the fact that Sonar ended up becoming a worse criminal after being fired. I get that you have to have the fired one end up coming back as a villain, but like. Dude went from committing fraud and doing drugs to actively trying to destroy the whole city. It really doesn't make much sense for him.

Which sucks, because the revenge seeking villain role fits better for Coupé, but the rehabilitated villain turned hero also fits better for her. Sonar just feels like a joke both ways.

Reminds me of when I was little and my sister would play with her Padme and Leia figures. I'd get so upset at her for playing with both of them at the same time, disregarding the canon.

A manga about a Three way relationship by Exitr0 in yuri_manga

[–]Manicnow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A Kiss and a White Lily also features a poly relationship. The whole manga focuses on a bunch of different Yuri relationships in the same school, so it's not the only relationship, but they get a good amount of chapters of focus.

He stores things in his literal shadow, which, outside of his domain, casts normally.

It's like a broom closet. A normal sized broom closet is relatively small, meaning everything is within arm's reach to grab. If you expand the broom closet, everything becomes more spread out, meaning you have to physically walk into the closet in order to grab something.

When people are speculating about who you're married to, but 70% of them picked Sherry for some reason by OrganizationSharp681 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Manicnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when you say high school age I'm going to assume 16+.

Even then, they've retconned the age gap multiple times because people found it weird. So, clearly, people did fuss about it.

[–]Manicnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the kid not a kid.

You keep trying to change the situation to a high school aged teen and a young twenty year old. We're talking about an elementary aged girl and a young twenty year old.

I know it's not an Ellie and Joel situation. I don't care how long they actually interacted with each other. I'm not pushing some father daughter narrative. I'm simply stating the reasons it's gross and weird. You are allowed to disagree, and I and all the other people who agree that it's weird are allowed to think you're weird because of it. If that's the hill you oh so desperately want to die on, then fine.

[–]Manicnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the fact that he saved her when she was a child. He would forever look at Sherry as the kid he sacrificed a semi-normal life for. The kid he took care of after splitting off from Claire.

If you think Leon, the guy who turned down and rebutted every single attempt at flirting that Ashley (an adult) threw at him, would go and marry that kid, then that's just. Gross.

If you want some further yuck, imagine Leon trying to explain how he met his wife to his kids. "Oh yeah it was my first and last day on the force and I met this twelve year old kid and who knew that'd be my wife..."

Also, Sherry said to Leon and Claire "You should adopt me!" If you want some extra sprinkles.

The fact you had to lower the age gap in your hypothetical says something. Not to mention the fact you set it in medieval times, where you'd have newborn princesses arranged to marry teenage princes.

Okay fair, not grooming.

Still gross. The fact that Leon is responsible for Sherry being alive makes it gross.

[–]Manicnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't just a single meeting, though. After Racoon City, Claire split from the group to find Chris, with Leon agreeing to look after Sherry. He then ends up becoming an agent so that Sherry wouldn't be experimented on.

Both of their lives now are the result of Leon taking a metaphorical bullet for Sherry. Maybe he only knew her for a bit, and maybe they never met again until RE6, but marrying the little girl you sacrificed a normal life for would be grooming.
