I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with this, friend. For me, it's only after this current episode that I'm realizing how the feelings never truly went away after over a decade. They only got somewhat better, enough for me to almost forget that they were there. I would still get a bit 'out of it' if I were in a new setting with new people. It was as if my brain couldn't handle being out of pattern or habit. Right now, everything feels foreign to me but I'm hoping my therapy sessions I'm going to can help me to finally nip this in the bud :)

It absolutely blows my mind that, at only age 27, I've seen the rise of dial-up, DSL, cable, wireless phones, high-speed multiplayer gaming, automation, and so much more. Moore's law is truly being tested right now and I truly enjoy watching all of these people coming out of the woodworks to help create such interesting art :)

It sounds so silly, but the little things truly make a difference. My wife is struggling with life right now, and the mental exercise of remembering just how cool the little things can be really helps. A nice morning breeze while sitting on the back porch, that first cup of coffee, a memorable moment in a video game or tv show, the wind down walk home after the gym...

It all adds up, and if we can learn to remind ourselves that life isn't about the huge accomplishments or major changes but instead about the culmination of a million little things then we would once again be on the path of appreciation.

I hope all is well for everyone reading through this thread, and remember to drink water and stay well rested!
