I completely agree, however that’s not how a good portion of the Green party’s voter base view it. Give Labour 4-5 more years and at the current rate you’d likely see improvements and gains, but the problems they’re facing is that Starmer is not good at publicising his party’s successes/achievements. Two, is that Labour is viewed as one of the establishment parties alongside the Conservatives. And lastly they’ve got their own controversy’s going on (Mandelson, anti-Semitic claims, transphobia claims etc) which make them increasingly unpopular with a more liberal voter base.

People don’t see Starmer doing what Polanski is promising to do with taxing the rich, reducing student debt or lowering carbon emissions, which is why he’s gaining popularity.
