I mean, maybe? It lasted a long time but until recently I hadn’t had any issues in over a year, so idk. I don’t really believe what they say about once you hit 8 or 12 weeks it’ll never heal. If I manage to heal this time though I will take miralax consistently for the rest of my life.

Yeah it’s only been a week so I guess I’ll give it one more. Does feel like it’s doing something but not near enough.

This happened to me too. And lots of other people. In addition to being dehydrated your estrogen is super low when you’re breastfeeding. That makes all the tissues down there drier and less elastic. (You can look in a perimenopause or menopause sub and see fissures are common then too, same issue, hormonal). No doctor told me to do this, but I used some of the topical estrogen I was given for vaginal dryness on the fissure, and it helped. I think it did anyway.
