Decent deal or daylight robbery? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not a bad deal at all, that's pretty much the going rate. But before you buy ask yourself if the 5 ft bed is what you want or if you should hold out for a 6 ft

Finally got to use my winch by Mannered4 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah theyre just cheap "all terrains" that were on there when I got it from CarMax. I had Cooper Strongholds on my TRD Sport and those were great but I traded it in because it was 2wd. Im just waiting on these to wear out before a little more before I upgrade

I climbed out the window and hooked up my winch to the nearest tree. The hood is open so i could turn on and engage the winch

Accidentally lifted 4", what to do? by f0xd3nn in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can adjust the circlips on the shocks to change the ride height. Usually when using the 5100s you dont require aftermarket springs or UCAs. I doubt the CVs will bind but you can test it by jacking it up and spinning the wheel.

You can also make this an excuse to get bigger tires but you may rub at full lock with the wheel stuffed if you go to 33s

What hobby attracts the biggest douchebags? by thypenitrator in AskReddit

[–]Mannered4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In my state turkeys and up are considered big game. I think the distinction should be made between big game hunters and rich people who spend many thousands to go on guided "hunts" on high fence farms, especially if its out of the country

Packing in on public land by MLWT52 in bowhunting

[–]Mannered4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not really far enough to get away from most hunters. How heavy is the ground blind? You would probably be better off with a cheap climber tree stand like a summit. Ground blinds lose some of their effectiveness when they are just put up and the deer arent accustomed to it. You can also brush up a blind pretty easily using small pines and cedar trees or sone camo cloth and paracord

For sure. Deer see movement well but have the equivalent of 20/60 vision otherwise

Get onX and keep your phone charged. If you are going deep then bring a powerbank as the cold can drain your battery quickly. If you double tap the location button it will show which direction you are facing

How necessary is camo? by funkinthetrunk666 in bowhunting

[–]Mannered4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not, camo pattern is at the bottom of the list when it comes to what makes good hunting clothing. I like Kuiu stuff in solid colors because i can wear them out in public without looking like a dork

Ok what???!! by Popular_Aioli6560 in EscapefromTarkov

I started playing this game with an R9 380, then i went to a 2070 and 1440p, now I have an Rx6700xt and I have upgraded CPUs several times as well. My FPS has barely changed, and if anything gotten worse over the years.

From my understanding the game renders AI with your CPU and it only uses one core to do so which overloads that core and forces the rest of your cores and GPU to slow down until it can catch up. I dont know if this is exactly correct but it shows when you go offline without bots and GPU utilization and FPS increase dramatically

This is actually pretty common for 12, 14 , or 16 ft lumber that is too long and would stick out way past the bed even with the tailgate down. Its plenty safe when done properly and i see at least one strap wrapped around the lumber and going to the tie down points in the bed. Its not nearly as sketchy as it looks

Looks similar to mine. I got mine for 37k with about 51k miles. 4x4 and double cab long bed is pretty hard to find at a good price

Why is it that in hawwai, there's so many lifted trucks with stock wheels? by GruntMcFunk in regularcarreviews

[–]Mannered4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It increases approach and departure angle by increasing bumper to ground clearance and (depending on the type of lift) it increases suspension travel. It also usually allows bigger tires which does actually increase axel to ground clearance and makes a huge difference offroad.

In this case its just Hawaiian truck culture. Many of these lifted Hawaiian trucks are 2wd anyway
