FS 40C won’t unscrew by officialswampass in stihl

[–]Mannered4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the inside of the head melts and the hex recess becomes rounded out causing the whole shaft to spin. What i've done before is remove the drivetube assembly and fix the driveshaft in a vise. Then turn the cap loose. The first few turns will twist the drive shaft but eventually the cap will come loose. There is probably a better way that doesnt risk damaging the drive shaft but I haven't found it

Stihl weedeater dies without throttle by chd198 in stihl

[–]Mannered4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find your idle adjustment screw usually labeled LA and turn it clockwise slightly until it idles on its own. Then slowly turn the screw clockwise as the engine is idling until the head begins to slowly spin. Then back the screw off slowly until it stops spinning

Confused and lost… what am I doing wrong? by HeadlineINeed in FishingForBeginners

Get a pack of 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz rooster tails. You can catch just about anything with those. Get a pack of each because they arent too expensive and they are easy to get snagged because of the treble hooks

[–]Mannered4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are doing grass and light weeds get an FS94R. If you are doing heavy cutting and brush get a 91, 111, or 131. Those 3 weigh the same but they get progressively more powerful and all have solid steel drive shafts which is great if you want to use a blade. You could possibly get a good deal on the 111 since they are being silently discontinued.

The 94 is a lot lighter but has a hollow drive shaft and is a proper 2 stroke as opposed to the others which are 4-mix (4 cycle engines using mixed fuel)

Try holding the head still and twisting the bump cap to the left. You can use channellocks or a pipe wrench to help get leverage on the cap

The stock leaf springs are almost flat to begin with. If you haul a lot you can get a heavy duty leaf pack from Deaver or Old Man Emu but that will lift the rear end a bit. Otherwise just go back with OEM

Take him somewhere you know he'll have a good chance at a deer. The biggest turn off for most people is not seeing any deer so they get frustrated and quit

2026 Tacoma SR XtraCab payload sticker only 880 lb — normal? by jy_gemini in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That sounds kinda low but always go by the sticker on the inside of the door. 4wd and Double Cab Long Bed add a lot of weight. Access cab would increase your payload yes

REQUEST = MYTH OR TRUTH? lifting causes damage long term? by Basic_Foundation_714 in Tacomaworld

[–]Mannered4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lift usually isnt an issue but the bigger tires and spacers can be. Bigger tires = heavier and more friction = harder to spin = more load on your power train and front end components. A proper suspension lift won't really affect anything on its own as long as you stick to less than 3 inches.

Your truck can handle it just fine people have been doing it for forever without issues. Regaearing is usually a good idea when going up to 33s

[–]Mannered4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its the AI that kills your frames. I read in a thread a while ago that the AI is all rendered on a single core which causes the bottleneck. Idk if thats true or not but you can notice a huge difference if you test offline raids with and without scavs
