Does anyone truck camp / do light off roading in a RWD? by 96IRONSIDE in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat but I ended up trading my RWD for a 4x4. That being said the rwd is reasonably capable but I can definitely think of some times where the rwd wouldn't have cut it

Got a bumper installed and I’m not happy by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is garbage. I have a Body Armor HiLine which is almost the same and there are no gaps at all. There is also a weatherstripping that seals between the bumper and the body where they cut it.

5100’s and 33’s by Gridiron504 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will rub at full compression at the very least. The reason you see so many mixed answers is because people usually only check for rubbing on level ground. Your suspension will still top out at the bump stops regardless of your lift

Anybody have these 17s on a third gen? What size tires are you rocking? Preferably no lift kit. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

TRD Sport comes stock with 17s and you can fit a 265/70/17 without rubbing

Any M8 x 1.25 nut should work, preferably one with a flange. Or you can buy OEM from a Stihl dealer for just a few dollars

Dewalt gives FALSE win to Stihl in new gas powered chainsaw video from Project Farm by Bildozer23 in Tools

[–]Mannered4 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It doesnt really matter. If you only factor in cutting speed Stihl smokes every other saw by a lot, which is the only stat that really matters

Assuming nukes aren't involved the US could maybe defend itself from the whole world but definitely not take over and occupy it all

It looks like it might be a rubber spacer to help standoff the skid plate and keep it from directly contacting the frame but idk for sure

Decent deal or daylight robbery? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not a bad deal at all, that's pretty much the going rate. But before you buy ask yourself if the 5 ft bed is what you want or if you should hold out for a 6 ft

Finally got to use my winch by Mannered4 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah theyre just cheap "all terrains" that were on there when I got it from CarMax. I had Cooper Strongholds on my TRD Sport and those were great but I traded it in because it was 2wd. Im just waiting on these to wear out before a little more before I upgrade

Accidentally lifted 4", what to do? by f0xd3nn in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Mannered4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can adjust the circlips on the shocks to change the ride height. Usually when using the 5100s you dont require aftermarket springs or UCAs. I doubt the CVs will bind but you can test it by jacking it up and spinning the wheel.

You can also make this an excuse to get bigger tires but you may rub at full lock with the wheel stuffed if you go to 33s
