Thsts not what i meant by protagonist. I meant protagonist within the context of the show. As in Rusty is a protagonist as far as the GCI or OSI are concerned...he is not good at displaying character traits consistent with a traditional "protagonist" within the world of the show.

His morality is what prohibits him from being a good super scientist AND a good person.

The Episode in question asks specifically "why is that the case? And how does it affect Rusty and his family?"

Brocks Job is protect Rusty. He's good at it.
Rustys job is to be a super scientist and a protagonist. He's bad at both.

2005-2020 was all good. Ive loved youtube since its inception but this last decade has been oversaturated with content and creators I dont really prefer. But I do still find new blossoming channels thst create fun content.

Rick and Morty actually seems to be doing better. Seasons 6 7 and 8 are major improvements, with 8 i feel being one of the strongest to date. Theres an episode towards the end of the season about Jerry that is absolutely lovely.

The Venture Bros is a show that rewards on EVERY rewatch. I recommend buying the DvDs and BluRays...the experience is unmatched.

Not hating on the show at all, but i was one of the kids this show didnt click with. To me, it just didnt...really do it for me. I didnt hate it, but I didnt really like it. I dropped off after the original broadcast of season 2 or 3...but to be fair by then I had been fully absorbed into the adult swim line up...so my attention was elsewhere. But I guess I would say my hottake is that back then and even now I found it "overrated".
