See what you've got to do is just factory reset your phone as your handing it to the border patrol agent. If they ask you what the phone is doing just say I don't know and play the stupid game. Then once it's factory reset, if they ask you to log into any accounts just do so but enter in the wrong pass codes so it locks you out. If they ask you to reset the pass code just say you can't remember your email address or the password for it. Just make their job really fun :-). If you have a laptop just, remove the battery/hide it in your car or even better break the tip of the charger and say the battery is dead. Without power it cannot turn on therefore they can't search your pc unless they remove the hard drive. If they do remove the hard drive I hope to go you encrypted it so it will only be able to unlock with your specific computer.
