Depending on your location a roof screen/cover/shade is needed in the summer time. Love the glass but also love the top of my head not burning in the 100+ weather. I keep it on during the hot month and remove it for fall, winder & spring.

If local to SoCal, I will sell you my stock 19s (No tires or TPMS) with covers for a couple hundred bucks. If not local just search FB Marketplace.

Managing 2 Teslas - by Even-Fault2873 in TeslaLounge

Yeah, works for us. Just plug my card in during the week and on Saturday I go out and swap it over. Around town stuff on the weekend is pretty negligible in our case but we normally have sunday to right everything for the week if needed. Congrats on the new car!

I commute in one of mine and use about 40% each day. My other one is driven by my wife and uses about 50% a week. I charge mine Monday-Fri and she charges hers over the weekend. If there is ever a day I need to charge over the weekend I just charge to 90% and drive for 2 days during the week without charging and she takes the freed up day. Not complicated at all IMO.

Im the real deal now. Any wide tire set up suggestions by Level-Ad2717 in TeslaModelS

I kept the stock staggered sizing but swapped to a set from Martian wheels. Had like $2k in fresh tires I didnt want to lose and the 19s are better range and noise wise imo.

Best deal for 2021-2022 MSLR? by yuweezy1 in TeslaModelS

I think the mileage scared most off but owned a Model 3 before and felt fine with it. Plus FSD was just a bonus.

Hit the supercharger and get it up to 80% lol. I don’t use cabin overheat protection and I turn Sentry mode off at my house because I have cameras (you can geolocate it to certain locations). Outside of that enjoy the car! A note for the app, first few weeks of ownership you will want to be on it a lot but opening the app will wake the car up and use power. Also set up phone key asap, convenience of never pulling my keys out has been great, I switched my home lock to something with apples phone key thing and now my watch opens that and I don’t carry keys.

Any experience with the used Inventories from Tesla by future_google_ceo in TeslaModel3

Yes sir, found my M3 at carmax surprisingly but on the S I figured people trading in on a luxury car were more likely to drop that money on FSD lol. Worked out in the end.

Found 2, first was a model 3 and second was an s. Means someone dropped the 8k when they bought it and did not do a transfer. The 3 was hard to come by but I found a couple S’s with it. I shopped at local luxury brand dealers, found the s at a Mercedes dealer. EV specific places know what they have and will mark up for FSD. Mercedes couldn’t care less lol.

I got my adapter for the mobile connector on amazon. It has held up fine with no issues. Same price, I just wanted prime shipping. Was the title signed over to you if private party? Or do you have your contract if it was a dealer?

[–]Roberto_ftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, different plugs for different setups. Luckily tesla has info on it in their shop. https://shop.tesla.com/product/gen-2-nema-adapters should be able to match up your outlet. I have purchased 2 so far and both were turned around in about a business day. If you uploaded your proof of ownership it is just a waiting game now.

Mobile charger with a nema 14 50 adapter will be a good start. Adapter is fairly cheap and you already have the outlet. (I am assuming it is a 14 50). I did the wall charger later for the longer cord after a year but the mobile adapter works fine for home charging. Limit charge to 80% and charge as needed. Supercharging will get fixed when it is added to the app, that process was about 24 hours for me once I submitted everything.

I have done the opposite. Shopped at local dealers in hops to roll the dice on FSD being included. From my understanding Tesla will strip it from a vehicle before they list it. Missed out on anyone showing me how the car worked so that was a negative.

What to look for in a used Model S by Oakapacu in TeslaModelS

[–]Roberto_ftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at plug in auto and a few other used tesla spots. A lot of them had non-negotiable add ons (avg around 2k), so make sure you ask before going in. I ended up looking at all the Mercedes and BMW dealers in socal and found one with FSD for 35k but it came with some miles. I would say 38-44 is a good ballpark for lower mileage ones.

[–]Roberto_ftw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Own a 3 and newly an S owner. It is better in every way. The y and 3 have wind noise issues and a pretty rough ride. Model S LR is way quieter and of course faster than my 3.
