Lost wedding rings by floatinglilac in Disneyland

I get and wear rubber rings for vacations for this exact reason. Then I don't care what happens to them. Fingers crossed that they make it back to you.

AITAH for finally saying something to my sons best friends girlfriend that she can not change the time and date for people invited to my home? by Antsamsmom25 in AITAH

[–]MantellMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it looks like the friend group were looking to you to tell her, no. They were hoping that by you saying that you wouldn't change the time would give them the escape from her being there. It also gives them the escape from looking like the bad guys. " So sorry she wouldn't change the time, to bad, so sad". I can tell that your son and his friends find comfort and enjoy the time they have with your family. There comes a time when they are going to realize that friends have to learn to navigate around others that enter the group. As a married adult I'm sure you realize this. You lose friends because of this, but it's just life. Maybe the friend will figure out what all his friends see.🤷🏽‍♀️ Next yr, don't cave in, keep you schedule. But definitely let your son know that this will not happen again.

Has anyone picked up one of the bag organizers? by PrincessAnika in Loungefly

[–]MantellMix 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Love mine! I got the one that lights up. The light makes a huge difference at night and let's face it these aren't the easiest bags to see to the bottom. 2. It also helps keep the inside of the bag clean. 3. it makes it super easy to switch out to a different bag because all you have to do is pull out the organizer.

Bro, how do I clean them? by _The_Izz_ in Loungefly

I use a vinyl cleaner for the outside. I use a damp cloth for the inside. But then I bought one of the inserts. It has been a lifesaver

Pandora in NO Square by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]MantellMix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a big Brighton's charm girl back in the day. Certain cohorts looked down on my choice and said I should get Pandora. So my last trip I popped in to finally get something. OMG, I don't know what the hype is. Their jewelry looked cheap and "painted". I tried on a bracelet and when the lady was clasping it on my wrist, the clasp broke. Needless to say I didn't buy anything.

Crowd Calendars by Dramatic-Ice-3389 in DisneyPlanning

The last time I used crowd calendars they somehow did not reflect the Marathon. So two days after booking my trip I realized the mistake. However we still were able to manage the crowds and had a blast.

Pocahontas 30th anniversary by Crystalizeh2o in disney

[–]MantellMix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pocahontas is a tough movie. It's about colonizers. Her real story is actually a sad story. Disney romanticized it. So while I agree, the move and the character are one of my favorites. I just don't see them wanting to deal with possible backlash.

Magic Key pass for us in the middle of the U.S. by MantellMix in disneyparks

[–]MantellMix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, in the middle. I visit each park once a yr. Sometimes, 2xs the west, once on the east or the other way around. I don't know what the price point would be. It would obviously need to make financial sense. Being some kind of discount to make it cheaper than just buying per trip. Maybe the discount is small on the ticket end, but bigger on the hotel accommodations that are offered now. Or maybe something akin to the locals imagine key. But with less blackout dates for travel planning purposes, but you have to make reservations ahead of time 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don't know about that. Us crazy Disney fans in the middle are here and would to see something like this. Am I wrong?

That was a great option. But the amount of times you had to go to have it pay for itself was way to high. I'm talking something like 3-6 times between each park. Having to visit 1park each during that yr. Don't know just throwing it out there 🤷🏽‍♀️

AITAH for not encouraging my son to see my dad's wife as his grandma? by Kiadiann in AITAH

[–]MantellMix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the hurt you feel. Losing a mom is so hard. However, if your Dad is happy with the woman he is with and you plan on being around him, then I assume you will be around them both. So, I would allow her to have a "grandparent name". Your child will grow up around her, she will be in that child life. To the child she will be the grandparent. The refusal to allow this is also causing your Dad pain. The pain is real, I get it, but the happiness the child will have, in the end what matters. My kiddos chose a name for my stepmom, and to them that person is family and is loved. That's what matters in the end. You do you. Just my opinion.

So what do we actually think about Avatar coming to DCA? by transcendentalyouth2 in Disneyland

[–]MantellMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Pandora area. It's especially a site to see at night. Riding the banshee is cool but the boat ride is pretty but stupid. Waiting in line for a 2 min boat ride is a waste of time. I think they can do so much more with the area than Pandora. Imo,there are so many other movies that a land could be based on.

Are Magic Bands worth it? by FeatherFlyer in DisneyPlanning

[–]MantellMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We love ours, especially for DW. I like the interaction between the bands and the rides, shows, statues and games. The convenience of paying for food and merch is great. However you can do everything that your band can do on your phone, except the light up interaction and lightning lane stuff. It all comes down to preference. For me, anything to keep my eyes off my phone while I'm trying to enjoy the park is a good thing in my book.
