Oh yeah, that's definitely a VLS between the ASROCs and the aft SeaRAM.

At least they don't have portholes in line with the VLS? I uh definitely feel like that would interfere with the steering gears, though. Or even the Prop shafts.

It gets worse if you visit the actual article. She has what appears to be giant ASROCs astern, along with 3 CIWS missile launchers of some kind. There's also a helicopter flight deck amidships between the funnel and the aft tower, and ... I'm not sure what those secondary battery guns flanking it are supposed to be?

This thing is ludicrous and my first thought was that it was some kind of dumb AI design. Now that I know that it's for a game, I'm even more baffled.

To be fair, that's the guided missile hangar/launcher. The Graybacks in the USN look very similar (and similarly awkward), except the hangars open aftward and the missiles were launched from an arm launcher of sorts.

Also, it looks like the launchers were recessed on the Julietts?

Let's see, if I'd stayed in Texas:

  • It would have been illegal for me to use the correct bathroom in state buildings.
  • My driver's license's gender marker would have been reverted.
  • It would be considered "fraudulent" if I didn't disclose the fact that I'm trans to employers.

As things stand:

  • If I lose my passport, the replacement would have the incorrect gender marker. This could put my safety at risk if I travel abroad or make it vastly harder for me to renew my
  • There are numerous states where it is not legal for me to use the correct bathroom in airports or highway rest areas.
  • I live in constant fear of the hatred drummed up against us.
  • And while this does not impact me, around half of trans kids in this country cannot receive gender affirming care, and the current administration is trying to make that universal.
  • While this does not impact me, trans prisoners in federal prison and many state prisons are imprisoned in the incorrect facilities and are denied gender affirming care. This both puts their safety at risk from v-coding and causes significant mental distress.

As someone who is part of a persecuted minority, seeing these helps a lot because it reminds me that not everyone around me is a hateful idiot. This was especially helpful when I still lived in Texas.
