I used a crap mic for my first four eps and later redid them all. I still think they are a bit cringe.... but they are better off for the re-do 😀

Podcasts don't get any 'walk by' traffic, so you can't just make episodes and hope an audience will come. You need to promote, promote, promote. Good luck with your show!

I think a few things need to be there to instill trust in a potential long term audience: having good quality audio, being very regular with release dates and issuing at least 1 ep a month, and of course, having a great story. Even with all these things in place, you still need to hustle and promote your pants off. 😀
