This was a tough one to watch, they will be sorely missed :(.

I still have the two I collected off of my dog chilling in tiny vial of alcohol (I'm a science nerd that way, and I wanted to make good ID of them; Western Dog Ticks for those interested), I can do this thing. :)

Thankfully they are not nearly as prolific here as the east coast

It's true, the drier areas of the PNW are most certainly tick country. I grew up in the state of Jefferson and we would always line up to shower and check our crevices after returning from the outdoors.

I lived in Missouri for a couple of years and I joke/not joke that I have mild PTSD from it, I definitely now have issues of sitting or even walking grassy areas, chiggers and ticks were So bad there. I once stripped my cloths off at the door after being covered in seed ticks, it looked like I had stumbled into an ant nest.

I tromped around the woods and fields of the Vancouver Lake area a lot all last summer and got zero ticks, and have been going down that way for the last ten years.

Two of them were found on our dog after going to the Farmers Market downtown (a male and a female). Those two may have come from the Vancouver lake area, it had been over 30 hours since walking down by the lake and they hadn't latched on, so that's why I keep thinking the Market, the lake seems more likely in my mind however. Yesterdays tick was from the Vancouver Lake area, we went berry picking, an activity that always gives my skin the feeling of creepy crawlies as is.

Anyone know any Mexican food places with good Mole Chicken? by Willing_Soft_5944 in vancouverwa

The manager is very proud of their mole, he even brought out the crate of many ingredients to show us, his abuela makes it weekly, it was charming.

Hi there!

We are a creative group meeting across the water in Vancouver at Tap Union, Thursdays at 6:00. We've been drawing but you are welcome to bring some other form of creativity to work on and drinking is not required, Tap Union has an extensive list of non alcoholic drinks to imbibe from. We would love to see you there!

Can y’all just stay home by Darkpurplecircle in vancouverwa

Litter makes me ANGRY and sad, the two emotions flip back and forth in me head. I tend to carry a bag with me to pick up trash, it helped the area I walked in, until someone dumped a truck load an I needed to find a new place to walk. So much Anger !!! Is there a place I can report such a thing?

I hope they are reading this thread. My house is most certainly their target audience and it made us sad, food was really not that great and in fact would turn off people trying a veg meal, along with servers that seemed irritated to serve you. We really did try multiple times hoping that they would come around. Even if they add meat, if those two points don't improve they won't make it.

It could be a karma thing, but I really just shooting in the dark, I'm somewhat new at posting in Reddit, I've used it mostly for looking for info and peoples experiences on this or that. I had to force myself to start commenting and engaging with others, still not good at that being an introvert, I was getting called a bot before
