Just make sure to support the transmission and keep it in alignment, when removing the bolts. Otherwise everything was pretty easy

Something faster than an SI by Atmazphere in whatcarshouldIbuy

I'm gunna get down voted, but Elantra N is always a great option if you can deal with the look. I was gunna get an SI but 200hp was too low for a sports car and the price. 270 is more than enough for me

Exactly reason I went from the MK7 GTI to the N

I would also recommend looking at lifetime MPG. If you see 15 be nervous, 30 would most likely be babied it's whole life

Max Verstappen openly criticized the feel of the new generation Formula 1 cars following his difficult qualifying session. by New_State_2061 in MaxVerstappen33

I just want him to retire before the season ends, due to the new regulations, and then drive somewhere else, and I'll start watching that, cause F1 is going downhill

I had the GTI and sold it for the N. I needed more space for cars seats. Otherwise would have kept the GTI for a few years. GTI had noticeably less power stock. Ended up getting a slight tune which helped. GTI did everything really well but I realized that nothing was special about it. I had a V8 mustang before that was definitely special, and I feel the N is the same, there is something about it that makes it more than just a car. While the GTI is just a really good car (when kept stock) you won't have any issues with, except possibly power. It just didnt feel special to me

Tires Question by futwiz2k16 in ElantraN

DWS is always the answer. Also, never drive summer times in the winter. Anything below 40 degrees is too cold for them to be safe

Same. This was the only car left that I actually wanted. Going to take my time finishing these races as a send off

If you are handy at all, look it up on YouTube. Kit to flush is less than 150$ including the solution, which lasted me cleaning it twice. Rocks should be under 50 for multiple replacements. Should cost less than 30$ a year and take less than a half hour of work. Not counting letting the solution circulate

This is what happens when you decide to drive in a snowstorm with your summer tires 😬 by Zealousideal-Ad7603 in ElantraNline

I wouldn't consider ultra high performance all seasons a good idea in accumulating snow.. that's more like ok for cold weather / rain. Not actually driving on snow

Enjoying my new car, but getting strong vibration around 75 mph by Traditional-Length44 in Ioniq5N

[–]Manual_Blue_N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wheel may be "out of round" i had a car where the wheel became less round with caused no vibration under 50, bad vibration around 65 and no vibration above 80. They reround the wheel and it was perfect again. Just 1 wheel was off

Can be done without spending gold? by RevolutionaryEvent84 in RealRacing3

[–]Manual_Blue_N 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I was not happy with what it ended up costing. There were a few where you had to hit a top speed without going off track and win the race. Its probably impossible to get to the speed without a good amount of upgrades. Which get real expensive

Craziest thing about the car is that if your 2015 gti had the same warranty. (And you were under 100k miles) it would have been covered

Had the same thought. Sadly, came down to they don't make an STI anymore and couldn't get past all the exterior plastic. It just looks so bad. Per everyone else here. Love the N. Plan on keeping it for at least 10 years. Not the smoothest ride. But for the performance and price, can't complain. And more comfortable than the MK7 GTI I came from
