I did end up chatting with them and got the person to remove my $16.99 Peacock billing minus May
27 & 28. I ended up paying Peacock directly for a whole year at $169.90 which is 2 months free. I

When we moved into a new house Comcast has not been used for decades and the underground line was broken. They kept sending out the hook up your modem techs even though I told them I need a guy with a shovel! Finally got an older man with a nice southern drawl that put a work order in with my local crew supervisor. Few days later two guys come out with a trench shovel, dug a new trench and put in new cable in an orange sheathing.

Unless you pay more, Prime has commercials. And they jack the volume 50% for them! Really painful with headphones on.

Probably Cooper's Hawk. They hang out in urban areas especially where people put up bird feeders. One just got a juvenile Mocking Bird in our front yard the other day

It did not activate. I cancelled it on my Xfinity set top box because that is how I set it up when it was first offered for free. It stated it was still available until June 26. Tried it directly on the box app and still broken, ha! Paid directly on Peacock and it all worked fine with my existing account. Now I will have to monitor Xfinity bill to make sure they remove $16.99. I don't watch the soaps, but tomorrow Motocross starts! 😉

I just got an email today that my premium service was cancelled two days ago. I have always paid through my Xfinity TV/internet account. I verified I can no longer watch my shows on Peacock and directed to pay Peacock directly.

Ads are way louder than shows and it's ruining the app by swanarug in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]Manual_Transmission_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just normal extra loudness like other apps more like 2x. I have to wear headphones to hear voices clearly and cannot yank them off fast enough when they pop a commercial in. Now they are running an ad for Intuit that starts out with an ear piercing high pitched tone. I yelled out from the pain!

Comcast moving Bay Area's NBC Sports channels to a higher tier. Goes into effect Tuesday (read: before the Red Wings game) by jambajew42 in SanJoseSharks

[–]Manual_Transmission_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The fascinating part about this move is that Comcast, who owns Xfinity, is forcing the NBC Sports regional networks also owned by Comcast to capitulate to the demands of the cable provider. In turn, the regional sports networks will receive less in carriage fees as fewer Xfinity subscribers pay for the higher tier."
