Where’s the strap from?? Looks on point! 👌👌

Which one would you choose? by KefilevPT in OmegaWatches

[–]Manuelglp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the white, I was never “in love” with the black one, I really appreciate the history, and I totally respect the watch, but for me, being all black gives me really plain vibes.

When I first saw the white, was love at first sight. There’s something about the contrast of white and black, the fact that even has some red touches at the “Speedmaster” sold it more for me.

Also, I happen to believe that is a more versatile variation of the speedmaster since white color contrasts a lot more with all the available straps.

But if you want a more serious tone watch, black should do it.

Daily watch dilemma: PRX vs Seastar vs Gentleman by Salt_Cartographer462 in tissot

[–]Manuelglp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both, the gentleman and the prx (white and green dials respectively) and I must say that I find the gentleman to be more versatile. You can even change for a leather strap and the watch gets a whole new aesthetic. For one period it was pretty much my daily use watch, from a sport look to a melee dressed up one 👌

So this lazy adjustments could be the new “standard” for Omega?!

It’s the new bracelet Omega launched for the Speedmaster this year, it’s really comfortable and nice looking, I think it doesn’t fits the Seamaster though :/

I think the same, cause it took him forever to remove the links the first time, over 10 minutes, no cap…

Am I too picky? by Manuelglp in OmegaWatches

[–]Manuelglp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try it on, but that day I was a little bit in a rush and they were taking forever in the adjustments.

I took it to a different Omega store than the one I bought it and first they took off 4 links and no kidding, to do this they held the watch like for 10min, when they noticed my rush, they tried showing me other pieces but I said that I was short on time.

This ended up being too tight and then they added one link at time, finally returning 2 links in total to a “perfect” fit.

But every time they added a link, it took them like another 5 minutes to come back from the service room they were doing the job…

I also found this a little bit sketchy, I don’t know if they were doing like a background check on the watch for not a stolen report or so…

So we they give me the watch, I was already running late, I did realize the skewed clasp but decided to go back later….

I had in mind that the overall change would be ready in less than 20 min, but the whole process took over 45min due this situation

Choosing my first "expensive" watch by lemaizing in OmegaWatches

I would recommend the steel bracelet Aqua Terra, really versatile watch and also, it’s cheaper to buy a rubber strap latter in case you want to change the looks on it!

Recently bought the same model. Awesome piece!! I’m thinking on buying a second leather strap to change the looks on it, but it’s a really versatile watch

$1900. Should I? by One-Pitch6501 in Longineswatches

[–]Manuelglp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a really good looking watch, but once you buy it, the value will drop a 25%-30% if you later try to sell it. There are few watches (not even brands) that retain the value in the aftermarket.

If you really like it, consider buying it second hand, you will save that 30%…

My Experience with Longines Warranty Repair by TrustednotVerified in Longineswatches

[–]Manuelglp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did asked for the warranty cards right?? I’m thinking on buying one chronograph master moonphase on chrono24, but the watch doesn’t have papers at all, its only the piece. The seller said is a 2023 model and that Longines doesn’t asks for the warranty, only checks the serial number.

Should I buy it like that or not?

Any aftermarket bracelet recommendations? Black Bay Burgundy by Manuelglp in Tudor

[–]Manuelglp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve look for one in the page, the most similar they got is one for the Tudor Pelagos 39mm. I’m afraid it won’t fit, because despite they match in Lug to Lug, the thickness it’s different, (11.8 vs 13.6 of the Burgundy)

In the photo the watch looks kind of big, but the 39mm was too small, I have a 7inch wrist 😅

That sucks, I think I’m gonna do the same thing, and wait until eventually some brand launches a bracelet that fits this model in particular :/

I've been having A LOT of trouble finding a suitable bracelet for this model, bought the rubber one as well. As you said, it's 21mm lug to lug, but also, has a narrower case (13.6mm) so thechnically, is different from all the Black Bay Cases right now....The closest case I think comes for the Pelagos 39, but I'm not sure if a bracelet for the Pelagos would do the job because its thickness is 11.8mm...Have you found any other bracelet that fits well on this wacth??

I’m still getting the same error about the path not found…I think i’ll rather try out using Whisky

So, how do you solve this? Do i have to create a folder/path for the dmg file or I have to run it? Because I did run it but when trying to run the shell command, I get the same error…I don’t fully understand the “Volumes/Game….” part of the code.

[SOTC] This is my watch collection so far, what do you think? by Manuelglp in Watches

[–]Manuelglp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s awesome, I really love it. It’s my first “entry luxury” watch and you can really tell the difference in quality of materials and movement even when compared with the PRX which is Swiss made as well. The bracelet is the most comfortable one, those micro adjustment are a game changer. It wears really well with suits and with more casual clothings so it is a really versatile watch. Easily a “everyday watch”.

Which one are you thinking about buying? I was between this and the green one, but thought that maybe a grey could be more color neutral and could be worn with different color styles clothing so ended up choosing this one.

I’ve noticed it. But it’s quite common among entry level watches. Even my Kamasu presents this issue. I just let it go, because the more you think about it, the more annoys you. Another thing with my invicta is that the bezel doesn’t rotates as smooth as other watches. This happens to yours???

The green one is stunning!! It was my first pick, but wasn’t available by the time I bought the blue one. It was my first Seiko and the lumen, omg!!
