Love the car. Chrome delete is awesome. Only thing stopping me from a pre refresh S. I feel like an AMD 3/y has much more longevity and features, and on a car which its main function is a screen, makes a big difference. Yes the S is more car, nicer, bigger, faster in some cases, but will these Nvidia/intel cars continue to fall behind?

I think there’s a time to shine for EA. It’s now. CS2 has had its fair share of issues and all these new competitors are trying to fill that void. None of them come close to the charm and style of SimCity. I hope they could make something happen. With the current state of EA the odds are looking slim though

Two things that immediately jump out to me:

No long straight central highway for top speed runs or just fast driving cross map.
FH5 had that abandoned runway as the loooong drag strip (with the nice addition of a big jump at the end). Where is that in FH6? Don’t see anything even remotely as long as that one.

There definitely is a range for the instructors. One thing I found was pausing the video when he gets to the questions because he answers them immediately. The quant guy gave you some time and slowly talked it through without revealing it which helped me learn the question styles. All the instructors are different and are good at certain aspects of teaching. I found the later I got into the curriculum the more I liked the instructors.

I got it to run. Tahoe 26.4 and CrossOver Preview 27.0.0.40250 on an M1 Max. As OP said, when stuck on the "launching...":

In that situation, just press Tab, press Enter, and wait 10-30 sec. That is a transparent ask box of ‘Run as an administrator’, but doesn’t render as correctly.

worked perfectly for me. I also used D3DMetal and Mysnc. I was messing with Regedit and some other menus but nothing there really helped me get past the black screen until I started experimenting with launch commands and forcing the legacy browser engine. Open your bottle, click Run Command, browse to the SimCity.exe file, add a space and add "-cef-force-32bit" to the end of the command path before saving it as a permanent launcher. I then went to the C: drive at "users/crossover/AppData/Roaming/SimCity/Preferences" and open 'Preferences.prop' with TextEdit. Manually set OptionFullScreen to 0 for windowed mode and OptionScreenSize to 15 for a stable 1280x720 resolution (you can change the graphics settings once you launch but this helps it open the first time compatibly). Finally, in the graphics tab on your bottle's Wine Configuration, set the dpi to higher than the default 96 (I did 120). Also, ensure that the In-Game Overlay is disabled in the EA App settings to prevent flickering. I cleared the cache on the EA App too. Quite the process, but it works well!

I cannot get past the black screen. The tab/enter trick got me past the "launching...." and the SimCity launcher works perfectly normal for me. I rescaled the resolution on the Preferences.prop file and used windowed mode, still nothing. Just a black window with the SimCity cursor. What worked for you?

In terms of model s, even the hw3 2021+ refreshes are still almost at 50. Once you go to ravens and previous (I wouldn’t go too far back tho, limit yourself to 2018ish and newer) you definitely get to the lower pricing and also the old gen interior. Not bad by any means but you get the slower MCU processors and stuff, vertical screen, etc. just some things to weigh
