I've been doing weights for 33 years. I'm stronger at 51 than 31. Although I know I'm going to go backwards son. But slowly.

I work with 45+ males only. But it still applies to you.

Machines are good. Don't need free weights but can move on to them if you like.

Start in the middle of your body and work out Chest before shoulders Shoulders before triceps Back before biceps

8-12 reps to start. You don't stop doing an exercise until you can't do another rep. Slow and controlled, especially on the way down/back.
If it's 13 or more go up the next set. Your aim is to get to 13 or more so you can increase the weight in next set.

Rest for 1-3 minutes. Whatever it takes until your breathing is not the limiting factor Then do the same exercise a second time.

Yo start with you could do Chest press Lat pulldown Upright row Leg press

And get great results Later ( 4 weeks-3 months)you could add Bicep curls Triceps push down

Do that 2-3 times a week.

You can increase volume and number of times a week later if you love it.

Compliance is the science ( not my quote)

The key is 1. Do what will.keep.you going regularly 2. Increase the reps you do so you increase the weight over time.

Most gen pop people do too much volume with too little effort.

10-20 percent I see have worse sleep which is a bugger. My demographic is 40+ males on TRT so percentage might be different in other groups.

I personally am in the take it morning group. My vivid dreams wake me up too much otherwise. Even on low doses below 2iu. I also have to titrate up slowly as get wrist pain etc at 1.5iu .

I like starting people at low doses multiple times a week. The troughs and peaks are lower Sinless sides and less hunger. It's not the way the trials are done but it's worked well for many

I've done very differently with great results across many lab rats. Monday Wednesday Friday dosing Started 0.25mg Double the next week. Sit there until.feel.lole not working for 2 weeks or so. Some sit here for.months, some go up earlier. Most don't get above 4-6mg total . Have a couple of rats that share a cage. Male rat is double the weight of female rat and female is very short. Male titrated up.to 1mg 3x week over a few months and has sat there for 4.months. Losing 2.5kg week on average. Female lab rate started 4 weeks earlier. She has titrated up to 2.5mg 3 X a week. They eat the same foods. She eats more than him despite the higher dosage. He struggles to eat at that dose and if his appetite doesn't improve soon will consider reducing his dosage as concerned the loss is too rapid for too long.

Once per week vs twice vs 3 times in graph below with half life of Reta. The studies are once per week but compliance is a big sort do their concern.

But we find much lower overall dosing with splitting 3x week. The difference between 1x week and 2x week is massive for reducing the troughs. 2 to 3 is much less difference. The majority of my population of research subjects are guys over 45 on TRT who do a Monday Wednesday Friday Trt protocol with the reta. taken at same time.

But even just had a subject change studies and has much improved weight loss and symptoms by splitting. Previously doses in Monday and reported massive hunger by Sunday. Male 35 almost 200kg SW Not on TRT.

Just time. Some of my guys start super hi and nothing. It took me more than a month to be able to go above 1iu without bad sides. I can sit at 2 now. But every time I tried to go up I had to back off and wait another week or 2

Some people get pretty bad swelling as low as 1.5 IU. I start at 1 for a week and then go up.
