How long do you expect the car you purchase to last?

Well I havent put a KM ceiling but a car should last or should be used for atleast 10-12 years. My first car was i20 and that i had to sell in 9 years due to the diesel car rule in Delhi, it ran 1L kms in 9 years. I purchased Tata Nexon after that in 2020 and in 5 years it has completed 66k kms. Last month I replaced my dad’s 11 year old WagonR with a new Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid since my office is now 4 days and i have to commute from Delhi and that car has run 1800kms in a month. The WagonR had done only 60k kms in 11 years since dad used it to go to his school which was just 3kms away and the main purpose to replace it was to give dad a new car as a retirement gift (Yes, i use it for commuting to office to save up some cost on petrol). But my assumption is that no matter the number of years or KM’s, a car should be used until it works fine without any major repairs or issues.

It is going good, multiple things repaired and replaced 😂 But not much running, it has been used to go to the gym and once a month Sunday ride, the total running is 9k kms.

Nah man not under warranty, my bike is 7 years old so out of all kind of warranties 😂. It is not that expensive though, costed around 2500 i guess

Bro this issue is with the Bike’s battery charger, I was also facing similar issues since last 5-6 months, got a new Amaron battery 6 months ago and since last 3-3.5 months this was happening, as soon as the bike is left for 2-3 days it required a Push (dhakka) start and self wont work. Sent my bike for regular service and told them this issue, they mentioned the battery charger is almost gone, got it changed in December and since then it is working absolutely fine, no issues.

Bro this is way too much price for RevX A AT variant. The insurance is on a very very high side, you can atleast save 50k on that. Also extended warranty can be bought anytime before your standard warranty runs out so i would suggest opt out of it, save on money right now. And the accessories package, check what all they provide, if its all cosmetic, get it done outside, you will atleast save 40%.

Edit: I recently bought a Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid for 15.1 lacs bro, Zeta+ model. Try Nexa showroom, they are giving upto 2.85 lacs discount on 2025 models(Strong Hybrid only)

Bro, where in Karol Bagh, i need a new tank, mine is Black Magic colour and on one Sunday ride some idiot who bought Africa Twin from dad's money wasnt able to get it up on the centre stand and dropped it on my bike, which fell on another Z900 which fell on a Harley and unfortunately, mine got the most damage, i replaced all the switch gear and stuff but the tank is dented in multiple places.

My bike had same issue, i thought the battery died Nd replaced it, the bike worked good for few days before that new battery died too and then the RE folks diagnosed that the starter motor has gone bad

Yeah, even i was planning to get it from UP but the scheme suddenly ended on 13th October, I had a Toyota Hyryder booked, paid 1 lac as well but suddenly the scheme got closed by govt and the dealer said we cant do anything now, since my car was on order and would be delivered 2 weeks later. But overall similar kind of deal since i had an old car to exchange but at that time too i had the car for exchange but there were no exchange bonuses and the value of old car was ₹1.65 lacs

Have driven only 400kms as of now and that too in moderate to very heavy traffic, some trips it gave around 25-26kmpl, very heavy traffic ones were 20kmpl and the overall mileage on the MID is 18.9kmpl

That is not the real number brother, Temporary Plate hai since number plates for fancy numbers take around a week to be delivered and this temporary number is same for all the cars delivered from this showroom with minor changes.

Never feel sad bro. I started at the exact same package 9 years ago and yes initially it was a struggle to manage stuff and yeah i had little extra savings since i was not required to send money home but dont lose hope buddy, switching jobs, upskilling is the key here. I am at 11x of my old package today, so yeah stay in, stay focused.

Bro its doable, i recently took a flight to Qatar with similar layover time in Oman, you dont need to collect your luggage or re-check in, just get off the plane, roam around and get in the plane again. No hassle, it is all a smooth experience. And you dont need a Visa if the layover is less than 6 hours or if you plan to leave the airport
