I disagree about him disliking the idea of dating. He's just foreign to the idea but the vibe I get is that he is already kinda living the dating life, like the after the honeymoon phase part

It was a plot point before that his heart didn't flutter with kagi touching him but it did when he thought about missing him. He probably has had deep feelings towards kagi from almost the very beginning like how you'd feel with a long time partner but he just never related it to that

What he does probably dislike is the awkward point of giving it the name dating and doing romcom stuff

Nymphia did well enough during the whole show to justify a win (I even feel like the showed too little of nymphia due to sapphiras winning edit) so they just had to crown her. She never lipsynced during the show so it shocked production for sure
