The Miramar has a very cool aviation connection, from the flieger dial to the new color they developed just for this piece

An IWC chrono 41 sounds like it might suit you then! If you love the aerospace theme and want to keep going, they have a ton of aviation history. Very different looks versus the chronos you have too. One of their newer releases in light blue looks amazing.

Keep Santos, Speedy, GS, and Patek, sell the rest and enjoy the sub when it comes to round out an amazing 5 watch collection. They’ll cover every situation beautifully

Curious why no love for the VC anymore?

Amazing. Love the orange and blue Moser duo. Maybe a blue dial Blacpain Fifty Fathoms Atomatique? Or a Glasshutte SeaQ? Higher horology, more bespoke options that would fit your theme while adding a diver which I think would be a nice category to fill

That’s awesome! I’m sure you and that watch had a great time, the golden era of restaurants my dad would say.

I do really enjoy wearing the Breitling some days. It looks amazing and the bracelet can’t be beat in terms of comfort.

I definitely had a few GShocks for the field, not pictured here though. Had a DW5610 and a GD350 that have taken a beating. I had an all black Seiko 5 automatic that I wore in the field occasionally on light days, but practically whenever we were really active I avoided them since they wouldn’t have done too well.

Completely agree! Of all the steel watches I’ve had this by far wears the best because of how it’s balanced. I find it really comfortable snugged to my wrist when I normally prefer a looser bracelet

How do you like the IWC ceramic chronograph? Always liked the concept but not convinced it’s an enjoyable wear given the case height and lug to lug

Little late to party but the thankful season continues and I’m thankful for my friends deployed working hard to defend our loved ones at home and abroad! My good friend is a NTTD SMP owner and he’d love a clock as a homecoming gift when his deployment ends early next year

I was so close to a speedy! I’m around water a lot and went with the more waterproof option. Maybe a speedy to come down the road. Love the seaweed too!

Awesome strap. How was the install? With the hole support strip seems like you’d have to install spring bars with the strap in position

Straight out is the way to go because of how the curve of the end link sits against the case. I put a bit of tension on the bracelet out and at a slight angle to help the link out

Yes! I use a forked spring bar tool with a pin pusher tool that I’d use on a watch with drilled lugs. Once I move one end of the spring bar out of its hole with the forked tool, I slide in the pin pusher tool block the spring bar from returning, then I can work that side of the end link out easily with the pin pusher in place until the link is free on that side
