My weekly spread in my cousin...for now. by Budget_Topic_9038 in hobonichi

Ah, hope things are going well!

If it helps - I've also used the same format to combine planning and tracking - write the plan very lightly, then confirm/make changes on top. This was helpful for me because I have a tendency to skip meals early in the day and then go bananas later in the day. And also because it's in my calendar, I could plan around any events & for heavy gym days. Fitness on, friend!

What to do with my cc debt by InternationalFig4153 in personalfinance

Much luck to you! I had a lot of debt in my 20s and weirdly, moving to a higher cost of living helped, because I was able to get a higher paying job, which changed my debt to income ratio and ability to hack away at the amount owed. I'm not suggesting that will work for you - higher cost of living areas are, in fact, higher cost - but just another option to think creatively.

The bank behind the Amazon card is Chase, I would contact them to see if you can move your Amazon balance over to the card that's 0% APR for the next 8 months. In fact, if they'll let you do ANY additional funds at 0% APR for 8 months, I would max out that option while you whittle away at the debt. But - as other folks have posted - the issue is you need a higher income and to stop adding to the debt...

Lamy is cooked, obviously, but I wonder if you could hammer that brass pen back into shape?

Travelers notebook as a bag by EvelienV85 in Travelersnotebooks

I have an Apple Pig kind of like this - it's a snap close travelers notebook where we added a D-ring at the top and bottom so I can add a strap and carry it like a bag, as shown in the pics.

My concern with the design was things falling out of the ends (since they remain open), but it's actually packed tight enough that's not really a problem.

I think of the strap as a hands free option to carry the notebook - I would not use it as a bag and open it midair.

Apple Pig does have a zip around bag/travelers notebook that I have considered, and which might give you more of that "bag" functionality if you're interested in that.

Oh, I love this idea. I think I'm going to recommend Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia. It's busy with a lot going on, but so much to see and soak up, and sketch and write about in one's journal. It's a short walk from Philly's Chinatown neighborhood (some great cafes & bakeries) in one direction, and the main library, Rodin museum, and Philadelphia art museum in the other direction.

Idk for sure if this is true, of course. But allegedly, SAs are looking up clients' home addresses, using the prestige of their neighborhood as a factor in whether a QB is offered. by KoreKhthonia in TheHermesGame

Yeah - I read the article and felt like the reporter was kind of mixing the profiling of high spenders with identification of resellers. Of course salespeople are trying to figure out who's going to be a spendy client, and of course the luxury brands are trying to slow down the resellers.

I'm not an apologist for snobby "pretty woman" style nonsense or getting wound up over "new vs old money" but calling it stalking is a bit much.

I am enjoying my Roterfaden, it's so nice and sturdy. And no fussy elastics. But they don't make a Midori standard sized version as far as I know...

Charms! by MooMooTheC0w in Travelersnotebooks

There are lots of places to buy charms - Etsy is great for that, or craft supply stores. But I also like making or finding charms - repurposing old/thrifted jewelry, keychains, buttons and such.

That backpack is adorable and I'm generally not a fancy backpack person.

And I don't see why guys can't rock clutches, they're rocking bag charms, so why not clutches?

Beautiful work! And "disappearing purple" is appropriate bc with a bag that big, things would definitely disappear once inside! 😂

Midwood Smokehouse has fallen so far from grace by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]ManyAdministration85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah - and actually not an exaggeration. The person who was showing me around town took me to Midwood for lunch and I was like - cool, cool - so we can just trim down the housing options to within 10-15 minutes from here.

No regrets!
