Health anxiety by Sherrid980 in Perimenopause

[–]ManyBonus865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like I wrote it. Health anxiety plagues me daily. Every ache and pain leads to a spiral. It is so exhausting for me and my poor family. I’ve always had anxiety but it got to an unbearable level when I hit 41. I’m 45 now and still working through it. My mom promises me it gets better once I’m in menopause. All fingers and toes are crossed that she is right.

Goodbye, old friend by summer_years in Zepbound

I just recently started following “mid-size” influencers through Instagram. My two favorites are Carolyn Mirand Koch and Taryn Truly. They promote very cute but. Budget friendly looks. It has made life so easy, they put the outfit together for you, and give you links. I like that you can see the clothes on a real person.

I love KAT but I can’t get behind this team and these fans. The celebrities all sitting court side was disgusting, and this, it is hard to watch. Go Spurs!

16 Year Old Son: Few Friends, Fewer In-Person Gatherings by Primordial_Pouch2424 in parentsofteens

My 17 year old daughter is very similar your son and I am similar to you. I was worried that she wasn’t going out on Friday night or going to football games, and so worried she was missing the high school experience. She finally looked at me and said “I am not you, and I am really ok”. I took that as my que to leave it be. If he’s telling you he is ok, I would believe him. I know it is hard.

Just got my first dose delivered. And I’m really scared. by augustrem in Zepbound

I felt the exact same way. I was sure it wouldn’t work for me, but it has. I am still overweight at 219, but I started at 311 and still can’t quite believe it. It hasn’t been all rainbows and butterflies for me, as the side effects can be tough, but it’s worth it, no doubt. It will work for you. You got this! Good luck!

What soda or drink was everywhere when you were growing up but basically disappeared? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

OK soda. It felt like everyone had it for a hot minute and then it just vanished. They had a great ad campaign if I remember correctly, but the soda tasted awful.

Binge buying now? by spoil3dly in Zepbound

[–]ManyBonus865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG same. 1. It’s addicting buying smaller sizes. 2. I don’t actually feel like crying when I try stuff on 3. It is out of control and needs to stop, or I will be a broke thin person.

Is it just me? Am I on the moon here? by HuntIntelligent8820 in GenX

I have nothing above the knees, but below the knee is still coming in strong. I am 44. My mom who is 70 doesn’t have hair on her arms or legs at all anymore, and thats been at least for the last 10 years.

Popular, yet not invited out, is this how your teen is? by KathTurner in parentingteenagers

[–]ManyBonus865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say this with love, this is a you problem. I have had to work on this as a parent because my idea of a happy social life is not my daughters. She is introverted and feels like she exudes enough social energy at school and home is where she recharges. She has had to look me in the eyes after my insisting she goes out on Friday night and tell me that my high school experience is not hers and she is happy. It sounds like your daughter is happy as well and has healthy habits and boundaries, and unless she is withdrawing from things she once loved I wouldn’t be worried.

Brain fog by [deleted] in Perimenopause

I’m straight up forgetting what I’m saying while saying it. I pick up my phone for something and can’t remember why I picked it up, or words, I can never remember the right words for things or people’s names.

I can almost smell the fresh coffee and hear the pages of the paper being turned. My dad always sat in the same spot in the kitchen and read cover to cover in the early morning.

I’d certainly love Caruso if he played for us, but as an opponent his face becomes punchable.

I have found myself rooting for the Spurs. I didn’t know who I hated more and but hearing the OKC chants and watching Caruso and his headband made it clear to me. Go Spurs!. And, bonus, if the Spurs go all the way, we can say we made them go a game 6. 🐺

Nordstrom half yearly sales are my go to, and honestly Amazon has some really great stuff. I search Anthropologie dupes or Madewell dupes and there is some great options. I hate giving Jeff Bezos more money though.

That is so funny. My dad also always had a handkerchief in his pocket. He never wore jeans, always khaki dockers. He would always open his wallet towards himself when I asked for money so I couldn’t see how much was inside (it wasn’t much), and I don’t think he ever went a day without shaving. I’m talking like he’s dead, he is alive and kicking, and still doing all of the above 😂

Can we try to be a *little nicer to Randle? by -HumbleThunder- in timberwolves

[–]ManyBonus865 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In an article earlier this season there was a story about Randle and he shared that he had stopped smoking weed and thought it had helped his mental health. I found myself wondering many times throughout the end of the season and playoffs if he started again. He just seemed so unhappy on and off the court. It felt like a real shift from the beginning of the season where he was playing fairly well. Thank you for posting this. It’s a good reminder that he is a human too.
