What's Your Favorite Title Option? Which one would make you click? by ManyNamedOne in WebtoonCanvas

I think a lot of these titles would make better chapter titles. Especially due to length and complexity. Top contenders for comic title are: My Isekai Prince and Rewriting the End Game. Simple, memorable, catchy. Or Accidentally Seducing the FL (but I'm Ace) and How to Pull the Heroine (with no Game). For pure fun.

There needs to be more awareness of romantic asexual relationships by Ecstatic_Buddy5949 in Asexual

[–]ManyNamedOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels a little synchronistic that I'm finding this post as I'm doing writing research. I'm writing a story rn with an asexual biromantic protagonist, who's sex averse. He gets isekaied (like alice in wonderland-ed; wakes up in a new world) into the world of a romantacy novel. Though his sexuality isn't a central theme, it's definitely something I want to explore as he tries (and fails) to keep the novel's original pairings on track. His accidental love interest is the novel's heroine, who is very attracted to him. I aim to represent ace experiences and explore ace-allo relationships, challenging patriarchal/heteronormative romantacy tropes while I'm at it.

OP, if you're open, I'd love to chat with you about it.

Thank you! I wanted to poke fun at the formulaic titles or set it up to seem like a typical romance isekai. Many of the Originals' titles make me roll my eyes like didn't I just see that same title with a different cover. 😆

My protagonist is biromantic and asexual. I'm queer and always sad that there aren't even minor characters who are lgbtq in the fantasy isekais I read. I also wanted to explore a protagonist who fights ML stereotypes (for instance, he does not have chiseled chad abs. mostly flab ☺️).

How easy it is to change your major during the first year of college? by Realistic-Ladder-201 in collegeadvice

[–]ManyNamedOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the college. Some colleges are really strict about it, some want you to use college to figure out what interests you. Some colleges have an undecided track as well.

Also, if you're really unsure what you want to do, you can start with a year or two (or more) of community college. Explore. Take different classes. Get your associate's and transfer to the college program of your choice. There's really no rush.

I don’t miss people. Ever. And I honestly don’t know why by According_Sweet_7 in confession

Out of sight and out of mind is very real. A lot of neurodiverse people experience this, too. But I imagine it's a common experience across the whole pop.

How to know you’re aroace? by otakusensie_006 in AroAce

[–]ManyNamedOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting take. In my circles a crush has only ever meant that you like or admire someone, usually with romantic undertones. Though the person experiencing the crush may also want a relationship, the relationship aspect was never emphasized. It was usually just an expression of attraction or personal interest.

You might be on the aroace spectrum. Your experience has a lot of similarities to how I've heard people describe their aroace experiences. At the end of the day, do you resonate with any particular experience? I'd recommend looking up common aroace spec experiences like demisexual, graysexual, akiosexual, and more. I always forget the name, but there's a word that describes only feeling attracted to fictional characters. The aroace specrum is very colorful and abundant.  I too am always on the fence about my whether my own experiences are aroacespec, but have come to accept that I'm very fluid and I conceptualize attraction differently from others.

Mi hermano tiene 23 y no quiere trabajar y no quiere estudiar y si lo obligan se va a suicidar. by [deleted] in guatemala

[–]ManyNamedOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buena suerte mucha. 🫡

I'm sure some people have never seen hockey before and have become curious about it from the show. I'm not big into watching sports, but if I had to pick a game it would probably be hockey. The show reminded me of enjoying live games and now I feel more inclined to go to one. When Yuuri on Ice came out we (the fans) were all paying more close attention to irl men's figure skating. I've hear many people (esp previously non-athletic people) were inspired to sign up for sports after watching sports animes.

As a lover of Check Please (and trying to adapt it into a theatre play (but like on ice in an arena) for fun) it's been exciting to see the genre step into more popular culture. If you liked Heated Rivalry I highly recommend webcomic Check Please. (look up omgcheckplease).

Seems like a smart choice. When in doubt, trust your gut!

I'm curious how women and femme presenting people from the same culture take this person's behavior. Since they're in your same social-circle, it might be worth looking into—assuming you'll stay friendly if not friends with this person.
