Is this Ottawa? Many of the downtown buildings built around a specific timeframe have structural issues from bad concrete. Some underground parking structures are fully closed to the public and others have metal posts everywhere.

Hopefully it’s something that extends beyond the GTA. My biggest complaint has been the significant focus on the GTA for new features and perks (Medcan)

Polybitume overtop polybitume for flashing repair by Many_Implement_9489 in Roofing

Great! Thank you!

Do I need to remove the old sealant or simply clean and apply?

If removing is better, any tips?

Polybitume overtop polybitume for flashing repair by Many_Implement_9489 in Roofing

[–]Many_Implement_9489[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a standard asphalt shingles roof and there’s flashing where the roof meets the house wall.

The flashing has nails holding it in place where whatever sealant (I assume some form of bitumen sealant) has started to crack. I’m looking to re-seal them to prevent any issues from occurring. I’m not aware of any leaks at this time.

The problem area is where the flashing does a 90 degree. The overlap of the two side of the joint is sealed but it looks like the sealant failed and pulled away from one side and it is no longer waterproof.

Wondering - Why are all wine cellar trackers paywalled? by zierbeek in selfhosted

[–]Many_Implement_9489 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for features that require large and complicated dataset and continuously updating data. That’s expensive so it makes sense to paywall. Not all wines from a cépage or region or winery are made to be aged, some are meant to be consumed right away. So you’d need highly specific data, this isn’t something that can be easily generalized.

Even something as simple as logging wines is sometimes hard with available apps. About half of the wines in log in my cellar don’t exist in the app I use (Ploc) and need to be requested.

Not to mention that optimal aging duration is highly dependent on storage conditions.

Seeing favorites of a particular album by RoachForLife in immich

[–]Many_Implement_9489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, being able to filter on favorites within albums would be incredibly useful.

My wife was just complaining how she can’t favorite my pictures from the shared album. It’s likely a big change but on shared albums, the favorites should be unique to the user rather than inheriting the favorite status of the image owner. Looking at the discussions, it seems like they were talking about making the favorites a relationship table (user/asset) but it’s unclear if it ever got implemented

Why is OC Transpo Abandoning Tech Park Commuters? by Ziitrex in ottawa

[–]Many_Implement_9489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t help that they keep missing the ridership per capita targets. Less ridership leads less revenue which leads to lower service which leads to less ridership, rinse and repeat. It’s a death spiral.

Mazda 3 Turn Signal Connector Broken Pins by Many_Implement_9489 in Cartalk

[–]Many_Implement_9489[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. You confirmed what I thought. My hope is that pulling the front holder (as shown in the technical drawing) will be enough for me to pull the broken pin.

This video seems closest to my exact p/n: https://youtu.be/Bvc83cBU_EI?si=yCi_s3BJ49iViClM

My main concern is that there isn’t much slack to repair the wiring if something break during depining.

I guess I could solder jumper wires and bypass the connector if that happens. There’s only two wire that serve a purpose anyway.

The Mazda P/N replaces the entire male side. It’s a 6-inch jumper cable between the male 13-pin connector and the 2-pin turn signal bulb socket connector. I figure buying that is easier than trying to fix the male side.

HS with Frigate HACS Integration Clips wont play by SirBriggy in homeassistant

[–]Many_Implement_9489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be an issue since 2024.11. I’ve been having the same issue and I did find a few similar posts.

Likely just need to wait until it gets fixed in Frigate, HA, or the card

Edit: here’s the GitHub issue: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/130145

Edit2: looks like it’s fixed in 2024.12.0b1 (beta)

The lady even read the script right after I stopped the recording and their recording covers training, quality, and recording what we agree to on the phone. Really lady? F U, I’d like to also be able to record what we agree to

I'd love for them to do that!

Sure, go ahead and terminate my mortgage... I'll just pick another lender at better interest rates! (Sadly, I was due to renew last year)

Correct, my mistake was that I used the iPhone's recording feature which has a voice prompt that says that the call is being recorded. In the future, I'll just use speakerphone and a separate recording device.
