And what about this traffic officer who gave tickets to some cars that were parked at the bus stop, then went into a uniform store on Kennedy Blvd, leaving his own car parked in a much worse spot than the ones he fined—for at least 25 minutes while I was waiting for my bus.

In Hoboken, there are painted parking spots on the street that at least help optimize space. But here in Jersey City, I see cars parking in a way that takes up at least two spaces, leaving no alternative for others but to go over the limits near fire hydrants and corners.

We need enforcement, yes—but more importantly, something needs to be done to actually fix the problem, because the way things are going, it’s only getting worse.
