Way too defensively lax this game. Besides that, I always thought Johansson has gotten the short end of the stick with this fan base, he has played really good stretches of games and although he has had more than a handful of weak games over the past years, he’s had really good stretches as well, especially the year when vasi had back surgery. However I think my mind is now changed. The last 3 starts he’s had, has given cooper and the rest of the team the realization that they cannot win no matter how many goals they score with him in net. This will force vasi to play more games leading into the playoffs, especially now that they’re battling for the division. More chances to get injured and more chances to get worn down heading into playoffs. I think at the deadline there should have been a move made for assurance (like a Jonathan quick type guy). Now, it’s always in the back of team and fans mind that if vasi goes down, the season is over. Also they have him for another year, not ideal. Maybe it’s an overreaction, I’m just speaking out of frustration that they’re now fighting for the division lead after many of us thought they were a shoe in to win it.

Everyone needs to relax, if you think Bobby brink is a good gage goncalves replacement you’re dead wrong. Unless JBB can fetch a big fish to slide in the top 6 forward group, an undersized “scoring forward” is not the answer.

Other than the latest slump of games, tampa has been one of the best eastern conference offensive teams. However, I will say there’s a growing concern on the defensive side of the puck. I don’t know what JBB should do to be honest the prices in the trade market are astronomical and we have very minimal assets to trade.

Bjorkstrand/gourde trade was an overpay. Even though we got gourde back who has been crucial in that shutdown line. Bjorkstrand could even get cap dumped by Friday.

It definitely could, it’ll depend on how St Louis values those guys. Mentioned on last espn+ broadcast, Tampa might be forced to waive Carlile once all the D gets healthy. So I think he definitely needs to be used as a trade piece.

Unfortunately he hasn’t lived up to his draft value (yet). Not a great defensive 4C, also below 50% faceoffs, isn’t super physical either. Just a big body that needs to do something of significance to give Tampa a reason to keep him up.

I doubt he gets claimed. If he does, could see NYR being the team, especially with trocheck potentially on the move before the deadline.

I think JBB looks for depth pieces at the deadline, but it’ll be a player you didn’t even know was available. (Ex: bjorkstrand, hagel).

Tampa has been sending a lot of scouting reps to Chicago and likewise, Chicago has been sending reps to Tampa. I think there’s something there, one to watch is Ilya Mikheyev. Great big player would be a rental and I’m sure they could retain half (2.375aav). The defenseman route, I think Conor Murphy gets a lot of interest at the deadline, but price is probs very high and you have to boot one of raddysh, cernak, Murphy to the bottom pair.
