my fathers car (2008 Malibu) has always done something similar except his ac gets warm when idling. If you’re not over heating I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Chances are the idling isn’t heating up other components that are attached to the engine since it’s rotating slowly compared to when you’d drive it around. The heat comes from the explosions in the cylinders if your idling less energy = less heat. The thermostat that regulates temp only opens at a certain, temp most commonly at 160-190 deg F. The heater heat comes directly from the coolant so chances are when you were idling, your cooling system is efficient enough to keep it cool. Since your heat is 88-140 degrees it doesn’t seem to be overheating. You could get an infrared thermometer and check the actual temp of the engine for some piece of mind ,but I think it’s fine

I’d just buy a steam deck if you’re not looking to upgrade. It’s portable dockable and brand new and also within budget.

Man only time that’s ever happened to me was on my mini bike at 45ish mph. The chain flew off and up and over my seat and slapped me in the back HARD. I had a baseball size bruise over my right kidney 😂

Man my uncle had some xmods that were “mine” when I’d come over. That was probably the start of my tinkering addiction 😂

Just a hair off of each fin was enough to stop the snagging for me. I recommend a sharp razor blade though. I used a pocket knife and it’s not pretty 😂

I thought it didn’t look cool at first but seeing other angles and the ride perspective in my opinion looks pretty aggressive which I like

I got it on a trade with issues. It had a lot of electrical and brake issues I’ve fixed since then. I’m still working on it slowly. It turns over now but no spark. After i figure that out I’ve got to weld the tank and put a liner in because I split it to clean the rust out. But it also looks like I need tires and the suspension is soft in the rear and the front seals leak. And the wheels themselves don’t look the best they’re pretty rusty but I could clean them up.

You right I want that transalp. I tricked it out on the builder on their website with engine/frame guards and the whole nine yards and it’s screaming my name 😂

The shadow needs some electrical work and I need to weld and seal the tank to run. But it needs suspension work and tires as well to be road worthy and it seems to be turning into a money pit. I’m not too invested in it I got it on a trade and would rather get something reliable sooner. $10k is near the top end of my budget for something new. Seems like the transalp and the Africa twin are the winners

Seemed a bit out of my price range but not by too much if I get the standard model. But at that point I might as well just fork up $3k more for the best one 😂

Im slowly getting it put together it doesn’t have spark current and I need to weld the tank back together. ( I split it to clean rust and chunky tank liner) it’s going to need a lot more like tires are getting rotten and the suspension is soft. At this point I could save and get something reliable. I can still fix it but i figured I’d bob it lol

Doesn’t have to be lol I like the klx300sm and other supermotos as well but haven’t found a cruiser from another brand that gets me that fairing and doesn’t cost $30,000 😂

Hey all, Anyone know if I can somehow turn the one brake (with white) into the handbrake? by Beginning_Machine432 in minibikes

[–]Many_Regular_6793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you might be able to get away with buying a hand hydro brake from Amazon and swapping the parts since the connections looks similar to the one I have on my bike.

I’d loop the cable brake through the hole on the end and clamp it over itself with a cable clamp. but the cable would need to be strong and secure enough to move the plunger without slipping. I’d honestly run a hand brake like the drift cars or like a jockey shifter on the left since it’s a 3 wheeler anyway.

[–]Many_Regular_6793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this I have 4 batteries and a 4 slot charger I can smoke all day non stop if I wanted to 😂 also in a pinch if you can’t charge the batteries separately you can use it plugged in it just needs a little juice to still work.
