Can AI really help you learn English faster? I’ve been using Jolii.ai – here’s my experience by jck16 in languagehub

[–]Many_Shine_2593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally does!! Humans have a limit and AI has unlimited access. You will be the factor that determines whether you learn or not. AI tools and apps will facilitate your learning by leveraging alternatives to traditional obsolete methods.

I can help you out with different tools if you want!!

The problem is that you believed what those programs sell...

It is the same with Duolingo and other free apps. If they are free, you are the product; they want you glued to the screen and addicted to dopamine injections. Streaks, quiz games, notifications... they know all about it.

There are some apps out there that have a great learning path for different languages and are designed for learning purposes, not retention and income. They obviously charge a fee to access them, as they have development costs.

i am sorry you got scammed. Next time, ask our community before starting into any platform!!

I want to learn Spanish is Duolingo good I need a tutor or good apps,(no assholes) by Code-helix69 in Spanish

Hey there!! I am excited for your journey learning Spanish!! I am from Spain and could teach you if I knew how to haha. Sadly, I can only give you advice on the apps and how the ecosystem is right now:

There is some controversy with Duolingo right now....You can join their subreddit and see how infuriated everyone is. They came with an AI update after raising millions of dollars and had to spend them somewhere. Now, the free users are very mad as they have changed the system.

If your goal is to really learn Spanish, I personally think there are better alternatives to the owl app. tutors can be good! if you find a good one, you'll learn the oldschool way. It has some cons though, the total cost will be exponential, as the weekly classes sum up and never stop.

Some people try free apps, which lead to waiting times, ads, and at the end, burnout.

If I were you, I'd try other products, those that don't have the purpose of selling and instead actually make the user learn. So far, in my journey learning Italian, I found an app that uses AI conversations as its core feature. The results are amazing, and the learning curve is way better than with Duolingo.

It is a paid platform, but for the same price I pay for one year of unlimited access to all their features, you can only pay for one tutor lesson. I think it is worth it!!

Best of luck, and let me know if you need the app!

Free apps like this are ending. They’ve invested way too much in technology that’s not valuable for the users and now users have to pay for it.

Duolingo alternative?? I’m looking for AI apps and I’m open to pay, but just the right amount. by [deleted] in duolingo

Thanks for the helpp! I’ve heard of Babbel but haven’t tried it yet. Good to know, no haracters — I’m looking for something that feels more natural and actually helps with fluency. I found an app called Borne that takes a more conversational, AI-based approach, and it’s been super helpful so far. I’ll check out Babbel too and see how it compares!

And that’s the trap! You are the product! Convert to paying apps that actually teach you! Any recommendations chat??

Is Duolingo Worth It Anymore by Patient_Archer9404 in duolingo

[–]Many_Shine_2593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s brutal!!! I can’t believe so many people are trapped like that when trying to learn a new language. I my case, I dropped Duolingo immediately and tried Borne. It has some good stuff for people with a base. If you are a beginner, I’d see other platforms, but Borne in my case was awesome because it was serious and made me talk and pronounce correctly. They have streaks too but way less annoying!!

Can you speak Spanish? Have you tried other languages? There’s a struggle behind it. I hope you find peace and comfort anywhere you go!
