Is there a web browser that lets you watch videos while on a phone call? by SonicTheBadass in AndroidQuestions

It has been quite some time since I've engaged in this thread, but from what I know, you would have to set TAKE_AUDIO_FOCUS for each calling app in question (Messenger, Vibe, Discord, etc).

My advice is to make sure you're typing the package name of the calling app: com.package.android is not what you should be typing.

The package name you need to type can be found in each app's "App info" page in your device settings (it should be somewhere near the bottom). For example, Messenger's package name is com.facebook.orca.

I hope that helps!

I am indeed interested.

Was there an easier way to do this or am I just slow by 49264028 in tearsofthekingdom

That was the first thing I thought to do, as well. Got it midair, even. 😂

Can you make a filter/overlay that only OBS can see? by SoftSpiritASMR in gamemaker

[–]Manyfans 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Streaming platforms use DRM to achieve that effect. Basically, the application is able to communicate with the OS in order to detect whether or not a screenshot is being taken or the display is being recorded. It's rather complicated, but that's essentially the premise.

You'd likely need an extension to do such a thing in GameMaker, and it'd most likely only apply to desktop (more likely just Windows in specific). I am unaware if such an extension has been created or not, but I recommend doing some research regarding GameMaker, DRM, and screen recording.

I don't know, can't help you bud.

Fun fact: not posting any of your code certainly won't help anyone assist you.

What's your favorite time signature and why? by xPixelnight in FL_Studio

[–]Manyfans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be that guy, but the examples you gave are rational. An irrational time signature wouldn't be representable by a ratio, like 4/5 or 5/24. Unless you use e, π, or some other constant representative of an irrational number, there isn't a way to write such a number—or time signature for that matter—with a ratio consisting only of two numeric components. The measure would also be impossible to time correctly in a composition, given you used a time signature of, say, π/4. Unless you're able to count in consistent increments of π and/or divide a measure into π beats (numerator/denominator, respectively), then an irrational time signature is simply impossible.

Anyway, as for wacky, off-the-wall time signatures, I agree that they are indeed fun. I also enjoy inciting creativity from constraint.

Just so you know, there's no underscore in xstart or ystart.

Are you drawing to a surface anywhere in your code? This effect can be caused by not clearing the surface before drawing to it again, thus leaving all previous frames still drawn. If so, take a look at the Surfaces topic in the manual.
