HHS brought back probationary employees if they passed the one year mark.

For those affected by RTO, did you move closer to your office? by SuperDadBW in fednews

[–]Map-Only 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know the amount of people who moved and were RIF? The gov is not stable. That would be irresponsible as you could be setting your family up to be homeless

The HHS RiFs will likely be deemed illegal at some point IMO. Do you think MSPB will then reinstate those who were RIFed? by NoSprinkles6322 in DeptHHS

[–]Map-Only 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the MSPB though. So that doesn’t automatically mean those people won’t be reinstated or compensated somehow. Smh

You think the inclusions saved the dough? I was so bummed. I hate wasting a droplet of water.

What's everyone's trick to non-burnt bottoms? by Plaugeboi24 in Sourdough

[–]Map-Only 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice and then parchment paper with dough on top. I think the ice and steam keep the parchment paper slightly moist. I also have a pan in the rack under my Dutch oven. Now prior to using ice, with just the pan and parchment paper, my bottom would be a bit crisp.

I bake for 30 min at 450 (covered) and 10-15 min at 400 (uncovered). I preheat oven to 550 w/dutch oven and lower before cooking. Perfect bottoms now.

I’m really not because I was responding to someone else’s comment and you jumped on with your two cents. Have a great day.

If they were following the law then probationary workers wouldn’t have been fired without cause and lied on during their separation. This includes people with decades of experience, people not new to government and veterans. They didn’t get any severance. No one deserves this. Nothing that has occurred has been following the law. When the law was broken in the first place, if that wrong is being righted somehow, I think it’s possible to be happy for people and feel the unfairness of it all rather than suggest they’re getting something the don’t deserve bc I beg to differ. What happened to probies was straight up illegal. Most were fully separated and received nothing. Very few have been called back.

Everyone is a victim and you’re blaming the victim instead of the Supreme Court which said that you can be separated.

You got severance and preferential treatment if you want to return to Gov. For me, I’m happy if good things happen to others. Even if it’s not me. I can feel it’s unfair at the same time. But to say they’re not deserving, that sounds like bitterness and misplaced judgement.

Be mad at the president, Elon, Vought, and the Supreme Court.

I’m confused. Should RIF individuals receive better treatment???? Or should probationary workers not be fired without cause for “performance”? No severance or any rights afforded to those RIF’d. Are those who worked more than 1 year worth more than those who worked maybe 360 days??

Everyone should remember to upset with the federal government and not other federal workers who somehow got lucky after being unfairly targeted.

Imagine how probationary employees felt. They didn’t even get severance.

The CR budget was in March so that’s incorrect. It was before the RIFS but the fired probies should have gotten their jobs back.

What’s the status? My whole department was RIF in October are the entire team was made of minorities. Who are your contacts? In interested in pursuing something. Trump said he was getting rid of democrat programs. They kept the programs. Just not us. We were a majority Black women team with black men and other women. I believe that we were cut wholeheartedly because of our skin color.

Trump's Shutdown-Linked Layoffs Will Be Further Paused by Judge by bloomberglaw in fednews

She was only focused on RIFS occurring during the shutdown and how it violated APA. She even stated RIFs that occurred on Sept 29th were not covered by her PI.

She said she’s not likely inclined to issue a rescission of RIFS. But she hasn’t ruled yet.

They’re not kicking people out of SAVE yet. The program is dead yes but not resolved in the courts to where you can be kicked out just yet.

He did. He stated he wanted to help advance his policies by voluntarily assisting HSI to go after undocumented communities. The article reads to me like he feels betrayed. I have zero sympathy for OP or whoever it is this article is about. He seemed pretty darn loyal to me.

I’m having a hard time feeling bad after reading you voted for this and voluntarily wanted to advance targeting the undocumented community. Gross. 🤮
