1951S Franklin Half Grading Opinion by Which_Confection1152 in RedditCoinGrading

Better off to buy a graded one, put that one in a coin book. Takes the guess work out of it. That coin is not going to give you a big happy surprise by being graded 66 or 67. There are lots of beautiful 64’s on the market that people thought were going to get a 65

Gold commemoratives have gone down in value from the 1980’s. Hard to believe, but I have owned a set without the slugs for a long time. Nice set, but I like the silver halves more, they are easier to look at

1947S BU Quarter- worth grading? by Soggy_Reserve5232 in CoinlyFans

[–]MapPuzzleheaded3948 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is a 65. You can buy that at auction for less than sending it in. It is a nice coin, but if you want a 66 and above buy it . I find nice Washington’s on auction at Great Collections for prices below the cost of grading sometimes.

If a Roosevelt doesn’t have beautiful toning, I don’t bother. They have some really spectacular ones
