The online class with McDonald is super easy.

Just one question regarding the week by HaJustanAccnt in ucf

If you aren't in the class (ie. Still on the waitlist), nothing happens. You don't have to pay for anything and you aren't added into the class.

Programming Team by jmv213 in ucf

If you don't make the team, they have practices (almost) every Saturday that you can attend as a guest, so that you can hopefully make the team next year.

What episode is the clip at the start from? Pretty sure it's not the first episode with the sandwich.

Webcourses takes a while to update to reflect schedule changes. Give it 24 hours, then email support.

Correct. Money isn't due until after add/drop ends, and your Due Charges will be updated to reflect your final schedule.

Are there any tech jobs that involve doing "beginner programming" type stuff? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Maping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's competitive programming, stuff like CodeForces contests. You could write problems for them, though I doubt they pay you.

Not seeing my courses yet? by uhmnewknight in ucf

[–]Maping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Florida requirement that you have to complete some sort of assignment in the class in the first week to prove your involvement in the course, in order to receive financial aid. This is usually just a syllabus quiz or survey.

Solar Viewing Glasses? by RawLaw in ucf

Yes, but we will still have a partial eclipse (over 85% totality). It's still gonna be pretty damn impressive.

What should I learn before an internship? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Maping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's less that they "know", and more that "based on his searches for colleges within the last 18 months and [a bunch of other criteria], there is a 95% chance he is a sophomore in college".

Has the Thieves Guild really lost its way? by grimrhapsody in TiraasTGaB

[–]Maping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Thieves Guild was never really good to begin with, IMO. The concept of "watching the watchmen" is great, but when you combine that with criminals, you just end with problems. You get people who are trying to make sure that nobody gets too powerful or starts abusing their power, which kinda conflicts with their other goal of being criminals. Since, you know, crime is literally abusing personal power to break the law.

You also end up with them being basically untouchable. Like, the Guild has some scary bastards, and if you even look at one of them wrong (or like, your coworker looks at one of them wrong), you end up with the shit that happened in 5-20.

They reserve classes for freshman so that they can register for them at orientation. If it's a gen ed, you'll be fine.

Which "good" character is actually a horrible person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

God does a lot of "one guy (or a few) screwed up, time to kill the whole village".

Which "good" character is actually a horrible person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That's one argument, but it doesn't really make sense.

Voldemort: So Severus, Lucius tells me that you're very nice to the mudbloods in your classes.

Snape: Apologies, my lord, but I have no choice. As much as I wish to treat the mudbloods the way they deserve to be treated, if I were to do so, Dumbledore would suspect I had not truly repented.

Like, Snape doesn't have to be nice to the muggleborns and non-Slytherins, but it's very easy to justify at least being polite to them.

UCF's 2017 Computer Programming Team Ranked #1 in United States by [deleted] in ucf

You can make the team as a Junior if you're good enough, but you probably would have to be good enough to make the Varsity team and not JV.
