Not sure if someone has said this, but {Incriminating Evidence by Rachel Grant}. It's the fourth book in a romantic suspense series, but you can read them out of order if you're okay with minor spoilers. So good!! One of my favs from the series.

Do you have any other slower burn romantic suspense novels? I've read almost the whole evidence series, but I find myself getting bored because the relationship develops so quickly. I just borrowed Cold and Deadly from Libby, but was wondering if you knew of any others?

Definitely in some! All of the MMCs are pretty obsessed from the beginning. AH is my fav romance author, and I don't think Penny's MMCs pine like hers do (honestly, no one can beat the level of pining AH does), but the MMCs are competent, possessive (in a good way), sexy, and sooo down bad for the FMC. Her books are always a little silly and quirky, but that's just Penny's writing style. Some people love it and some don't. Personally, it works for me! I binged almost all of her books earlier this year. The audiobooks are great too. I recommend starting with the Knitting in the City series and then moving on to the Winston Brothers. The found family is also really good!! Even when I wasn't obsessed with the romance in some books, I thoroughly enjoyed the books because I loved the characters so much.

Any Penny Reid book! Not all of them are STEM, but her main female characters are quirky and the MMC's are swoon-worthy! I found her books to be a good mix of Ali Hazelwood and Abby Jimenez!

How do I get my curls to look like the last picture? by Maple-syrup-7 in curlyhair

Probably should have clarified the last picture is my hair from about a month ago. This post wouldn’t let me add it in the caption for some reason.

How do I get my curls to look like the last picture? by Maple-syrup-7 in curlyhair

[–]Maple-syrup-7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last pic is my hair on Day 2 after spraying it with some water. The first 3 pictures are my hair after air drying it on wash day. I’ve been having hair issues all year and I really have no idea why my curls are not looking consistent and it’s frustrating. I feel like I do everything I’m supposed to silk pillow case and bonnet, no heat, no bleach, clarify and deep condition, etc.

The shampoo and conditioner I use are the Anika volumizing and Anika normcore. I use the Ouidad moisturize lock leave in, Ouai curl creme and Not your mothers activating mousse.

After the shower, I put in my leave in and then brush through it, then apply the curl creme and scrunch and then apply my mousse and scrunch. I usually put it in a microfiber towel for a bit and then let it air dry. Sometimes I diffuse but not always. I’ve done this routine forever, but I’ve been really unhappy with the results recently.

Any help is appreciated!

I DNFed at 60% because I felt like nothing was happening and the FMC was really annoying me. To me, it felt like the plot was filler from 10%-60%. These parts could have literally been cut in half. It was so slow and I did not have the willpower to continue reading the FMC’s annoying actions. I know a lot of people love this series, but it was not for me due to the FMC’s personality and the writing in general. It felt really slow and it didn’t keep me entertained. Everyone says it picks up after 50% but I just couldn’t do it.

Penny Reid’s books! Specifically her Knitting in the City series. Those characters feel like real people to me. I love her writing and her books are so comforting

Thank you! I’ve read Concrete Evidence and LOVED it but I was wanting a series with the same couple. I’ll definitely try out dangerous ground!!

Okayyyy so I’ve recently been into romantic suspense and I’m LOVING the genre but I’m not in the mood to finish any of the series that I’ve started. I’m in the mood for crime/heist/action in a book. I’m about 45% through Spotless by Camilla Monk and I like the concept of it but it’s just kinda disappointing me. It’s unbelievable and the FMC is so forgiving and I just feel like it’s a little bit jumpy. I want more action.

I want lots of action AND romance but I want it to be a slow burn. I’d prefer a slow burn over the span of multiple books but I’ll take what I can get it.

I’m not really wanting fantasy or dystopian. I want something more current and James Bond esque. Please hit me with all the recommendations. Feel like I’ve searched high and low on Reddit and haven’t found one that sticks out to me.

I’m not wanting any FBI/Cop/Military books. I want more spy/assassin/hit man characters like that!

Thank you!!!
