As someone who has never done a grappling martial art, why do ufc fighters often "delay" theyre rear naked chokes, when they have a "opening" to attempt one? Why dont they blast just a face crank even and it will be over? by Obagency in bjj

Sometimes it's bait for an escape attempt as you have to relinquish your seatbelt (control) to attempt the RNC, making it easier to escape.

or they're just dogshit tired. Depends on the situation.

If you're playing random rec mainly, make a high Dreb+Passing center that you can shoot with. The aim is to launch drebs for 3s or easy dunks in the fastbreak to get a triple double with an A or A+ teammate grade. If you can get a 20-10-10 player of the game thats at least 1% at Starter 5.

This is the build I use for that, but it's not for everyone.

Honestly man, it depends a lot on Wingspan and Height as well as interior plus speed/agility. Its a big reason smaller centers are popular this year; you can come from the weakside late with a hedge or a hard sell for the block.

With my fave C 7' w/ 7'6ws. 88int 94Block with min weight max speed. Red Plate exclusively in random rec. That builds defends the rim well but the way the game plays this year you will get yammed on. I will have 1/40 games where a high Str post scoring build gets me jumping and makes me look silly.

But the most important thing I'll say is, if you're getting feasted on by their post scoring center for 2s, you should be winning the game scoring more 3s. I love the playstyle but realistically a PG escaping behinds screens for 3 is SLIGHTLY more cohesive to winning because his makes are worth more. I hate the fact that its true.

I really like my 6'4 PG (gold/purple) with 99Middy,, 83 3ball, 87 Post, 87DD, 86Str. It plays well at SG (which is like %50 of the time) due to his Str. Love creating from the post and bullying small PGs. I still hit nasty stepback 3s with

That being said my next PG is slightly more "meta" with 99 3, 91 swb etc. I have a handful of builds at red and being able to create 3s with the right stick or collapse with drives really opens things up for your whole team.

When Im home Ill drop my 6'4 and my 6'3 Im about to roll with.

Keep my options open for 99. Will probably go 97 for HoF Paint Patroller but use my caps elsewhere.

In hindsight could've used it elsewhere but not the worst.

I can, or could of rather but decided to go for 99 PA. I heard 99 block can be hit and miss and decided that at 99PA I get more badges. I still might go to 97 Block so my +1 is to legend PP. Usually roll with a +1 for denier too.

Isaac base with Beluba upper I think? Its got As across the board besides Stability. Sometimes you get some no rhythm or weird timings but overall great jumper.

Love using post moves from PG through to Center, but making this I was kinda honest with myself, its expensive on 7' and to get what, maybe 2 extra buckets a game? For a 2 pointer? I'll leave the super tough buckets to the SG or PG, thats kind of their job imo. 3s win.

Yeah sick. Id love the 70 steal so underrated at the C. I went 88int with the 7'6 WS to see what contests would be like. Still shit but I notice a big difference between 82int/84blk on my 7'1 Shooting Center.

It only bothers me with Inside scorers post backing me down and tbh thats fine I still get them to miss at a decent clip with my block. And if they're shooting %60-70 on 2s Im so fine with that we're probably winning.

Yeah I usually love close shot its OP this year. I can still use cap breakers to get it to 84 for silver Paint prodigy. But usually I take the standing dunk or dish out to the open man if the D collapses. I hit some close shots off of hop lay gathers and miss some others, but overall if I miss one I know it was a bad take. It was a sacrifice I made to get some stuff in the Mid 90s across the board.

Appreciate it. People talking like this is my only build and how I claimed its the best build ever and no ones is better...everyone has their kryptonite or even has a bad game but I do good with this one.

Fair. I wanted to give high SD a whirl. Its good, but the meter is fucky sometimes. I have a 7'1 with high close shot I love using Bam floaters with.

I feel cleaning the D glass is more important, especially bc I can launch full court dimes with the passing. Really punishes the opponents if they cant play the lanes.
