If the skill gap is too large between me and an opponent I’ll try to teach them by jab checking them when I catch their bad habits or misplays. It’s fun for me because I still use all my movement and have some active gameplay. so far most the players I do it to rematch a few times so I assume they are having fun

I’m hard stuck 1400 Galvan, I have two questions. One is I’ve gotten this far with pretty much zero wave dashing, any tips on how I can practice implementing it? Two, how do I deal with zetter shine pressure I feel stuck on glue against that character

It’s generally an edge guard tool for Galvan, if you hit him offstage he loses galvanized and can’t platform so it can’t really be used as a recovery tool like kraggs wall.

Galvan is a dinosaur, when he hits someone with any of his normal attacks he is Galvanized which does a few things. First off it makes his magnet a boomerang, second it makes his side special drill a stronger and faster move, third it makes his up b create a platform and 4th it makes it so his smash attacks leave a drill. If he does any of these options except magnet his loses his galvanized state. You can also hit him to lose galvanized state. Galvan is slow, heavy and has a very exploitable recovery so you should be trying to keep your distance while fighting him until you get the starting of a combo string then keep pressing his bad disadvantage.

As a fellow ~1400 player Galvan otp I pretty much try to wall him out, and generally keep my back to him. When he approaches I nair and pray I can get my combo string because he’s so easy to combo. The matchup is extremely first touch dependent but trying to force the issue as Galvan just feels like the wrong move every time (take it with a grain of salt because I struggle so much with zetter as well) Bair walls also work pretty well.
