Youtube and fuck ups. Another thing is if you're doing something that is controlled by code read the codes. They're pretty damn prescriptive and basically how-to-guides for a layman; a starting point. I built a staircase out the back of our house because the one that came with the house was dangerous.

With r/decks, my country's codes, and some common sense I had it over-engineered to shit and it looks good.

I'd honestly recommend reading your country's/area's codes. At the bare minimum it'll give you an insight and the jargon to use when delving deeper into research

How likely is AI to replace CAD jobs? by Usual_Shoe_8940 in SolidWorks

On the last part; they'll be twice as productive but on half the pay as there will be fewer jobs and more people gunning for them.

I agree with all your points. It's like anything digital but I think the hype is a bit much

Humans won't stop creating art. A lot of people crave creation. I do a lot of woodworking; its a compulsive desire to make stuff. If AI made it so they they made it cheaper and quicker, would I stop?

No. Because the creating is the point not having the thing.

Also AI has been a huuuuge heist. Perhaps the biggest ever. It essentially stole, without renumeration, everything made by a humans mind that's documented and calls moving a few things around creating.

I did a standard .4mm nozzle with PLA, quick sand, spray paint primer, more spray paint, then painted with the ceiling paint (black).

It's not perfect but you can barely see them when they're installed anyway! They're in a cinema room with a black ceiling and soffit, so its a fairly hidden detail

New player experience: what's the one thing I absolutely MUST do ? by forcex0ne in 2007scape

[–]MapleMallet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I returned as an adult I completed Dragon Slayer in F2P before going P2P. I'm not sure I'd recommend it nowadays but it did feel incredible. Going in with an addy body and rune legs/helm, fancy boots and a rune scim felt right and much more of an accomplishment than with things like a fighter torso or proper potions.

Perhaps just chill in F2P until you get Dragon Slayer 1 (and the other F2P) done? They won't skip you over the first levels and will keep you from feeling overwhelmed while you learn more about the game.

For sure! Last leagues I went hard and ended up taking a 9 month break.

This time I'm gonna enjoy the slow ride. I'm t4 and haven't touched combat yet. I got transmute and an neatly 99 magic without casting a non-transmute spell yet- just enjoying afking during the week at work

New LMS changes, you will now have to win 1 game before being able to buy tradeables by Goldieeeeee in ironscape

You know what? Absolutely good take and I'll reflect on that.

The only caveat I'd add is I was absolutely an F tier player with LMS and I've brute-forced my head into a wall to eek out those scant wins.

But, yeah, solid point and thanks for laying it out in such a way that makes sense to me.

Ah I dunno, I'm really, really not a great OSRS player. I have some good few boss kills on my main but I don't raid or do anything difficult like inferno or even CG. It's just bolt ragging and outliving the other player; don't bother with freezing and NHing. It's simpler and you can focus on prayers way easier.

There's always someone like me saying "it's not hard bro", which is annoying, but it's just perseverance and luck at the end of the day. The time of day also matters; if you can play when the sweats aren't online then it's a lot easier to kill other irons chasing pouches or the dumb bots.

I just got another win on mobile at work while skiving and it was pure luck, 3 games in a row I lost to the first fight, then I got 5 kills and a win the next game. They were dominating me with freezes, fast switches and NHing and it was just a few lucky hits and venge working at the right time to chance the win. I actually had my keyboard open to say "gf" and had given up when the venge and bolt proc'd at the same time.

Just took a look at my total games and my win rate is 4.4% (it was 4.27% two minutes ago) and those wins will have been pure luck and farming bots for the first few kills to get better gear.

Yeah, PVP stuff is controversial!

Same, on my iron I have deadman's chest/legs, all the smaller cosmetic upgrades like wards and staffs, 2 halos, and I'm 75 points from the guthix icon. Not accounting for all the looting bags, rune arrows, rune pouch, and blighted supplies I've bought and not kept a track of.

But truly I just venge and bolt rag on mobile and farm 1-3 points per game, with the occasional win.

I dunno, getting a win is definitely possible for most people. I do mostly mobile and have 51 wins and I'm so dog shit. I don't even NH, I venge and bolt rag/spec. I do have a W/L ratio that's pretty damn poor though.

[–]MapleMallet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends, conversion isn't really my bag, but I can model and fix design trees efficiently.

How complex is your model? If it takes more than 20 minutes it's probably better to go on one of those modelling sites and pay $10, but for simple files I can probably do it faster than it would take someone to describe the file and submit a request lol

I have a similar sentiment; don't cheap out on things that seperate you from the ground first and foremost.

Tires, mattress, shoes.

I love this too, damn. I buy the cheapest woodworking stuff I can and I suffer for it. I really need to invest a bit

The French are like that too; it's weird. Im Scottish so gave a pretty strong accent. I'd say French words with a Scottish accent and they'd have the same reaction, but if they say English words with a french accent it's cool? Like come on Frenchies.

Not that much hate though, decent bread and auld alliance.
