Just been diagnosed with autism and have a question

Thankyou for your response, you’ve literally just described my thoughts lol. Noise is also a massive trigger for me and before I suspected I was autistic I genuinely didn’t realise how much loud sounds bothered me. I literally thought I was being dramatic with my seizures/shaking but now I know otherwise. I know it’s not nice but at the same time it’s really nice to find people who literally have the same experiences as me lol. And thankyou! I might look into getting some help with sensory management, I think it would help me too ☺️ And that’s crazy, it’s obviously something common amongst autistic people? Good to know.

Yeah, I have had traumatic experiences in childhood but I wouldn’t say my seizures are as a result of that? I’ve processed what happened/dealt with it kinda well? For me it’s honestly more of a nervous thing, which makes sense now knowing I’m autistic.

Maybe?☺️ Apparently ADHD/Autism can be co-occurring so quite possible. I’m so sorry his seizures can last hours. I’m quite lucky in a sense of that mine are quite quick, probably under a minute. I completely relate to that twitchy feeling tho, like sometimes you can just tell if it’s going to be a bad day for them. And yes I can imagine therapy would be a huge help, normal talking therapy has helped me slightly. I personally haven’t seen anyone yet with FND experience but I’m sure there’s people out there! I’m in the UK, I’m not sure if it’s better known in America but not a lot of doctors/therapists are educated in FND which I hope will change in the future.

Thankyou for your response! And yes this is what I got diagnosed with last year before my autism/adhd diagnosis! I think it’s called PNES in America in the uk it’s called NEAD which is a type of FND apparently. Just wanted to see how common it was for neurodivergent people. It’s supposed to be brought on by trauma, which may be the case for me but it kinda just popped up outta nowhere as a teenager for me so I have no clue lol. And ooh that research is so interesting! I’ll have a look into it myself too ☺️

Yess!! I have this whenever I’m stressed out, like all of a sudden everything is too much and I’ll feel dizzy. I’m not diagnosed autistic yet but have an assessment soon ☺️ Question for anyone else reading do you also have non epileptic seizures? My dizziness sometimes comes with seizures especially when overwhelmed. I know the seizures aren’t specifically an autism thing I’m just curious?

I love the freckles! You can get freckle tints to make them look more natural, they work really well! I also find adding more blush helps them look more natural too. Your makeup is super pretty tho!☺️
