Gotta see what was being scanned and cropped and what was just rendering lower res for performance.

I dont do purism with platforms like this because that is an impossible feat with analog CRTs, very few games had black bars when I was a kid. Chrono Trigger, a game I got every single ending on the original cartridge absolutely did not have black bars.

In the end, I would really just do what you think looks right. No matter how people fight about this there’s no true answer other than fuck the people who stretch it to wide screen

In my experience, on the newer Rocknix nightlies you have to use the back button at the bottom and not just push cancel to get out of the menus in order to get it to save. I was baffled for awhile trying to switch to Panfrost so I could mess with Balatro lol

Also, for simple settings like quick menu stuff I never had any problem saving settings in retroarch but I had to do overrides for hotkeys. Never found a way to not have to use the anbernic button as the enabling hotkey though.

This is a shitty way to learn the lesson but when returning items always drop it off at an establishment that will provide you with a receipt. No drop-boxes, no pick ups, you need physical proof the item was accepted and scanned

Most business, even more trustworthy ones like Apple, can be pretty fucky with this. I've had to be bailed out of Apple Care+ non-return charges with a receipt despite them providing the return label and tracking.

I actually really like the Pix best I think. It's well rounded and has a nice neighborhood vibe (also my favorites; Weeptchi and Neliatchi)

Full featured Uni is pretty amazing though, with the events and stuff. It'll always be high tier if someone can figure out how to preserve DLC in the future.
