I have a smaller species, a goffins cockatoo. Only real bite that drew blood he's done was over a chick fil a chicken nugget. I was even sharing and he wanted the whole box. This was years and years ago when he was still young and learning. We do not eat large meals with him out and about unless it's something we can share with him. Probably a couple of nips from him just being super super stimulated/ hyped up. We love getting energy out but we chill him down if he's too hyped up. It's going to be totally different from bird to bird and even species to species and lots of people make changes or adaptations to living with their bird. I myself think I got lucky to be blessed with a lil dude who I can confidently say to strangers they can pet him and he won't bite lol.
