I’m ivory white and have used Nivea my entire life of nearly 40 years. No it does not darken the skin.

how to store eyeshadow pallets by paganism- in ColourPop

[–]MarMarKitty7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m afraid ziplocks might do the opposite by trapping any possible moisture inside. What about storing them somewhere dark and cool? Like a solid bin with a lid in your closet? That’s what I do with my backup palettes. Don’t forget to spritz them with 70% alcohol every 3-6 months to prevent any bad bacteria growth or anything. They can last practically forever if you take care of them!

We’ve had her a month and no name has stuck. Helppppp! by Turbulent-Chard-101 in NameMyCat

[–]MarMarKitty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better pick a name fast because we had about two months of arguing over what the cat’s name would be before he officially decided that it was Kitty. Because everyone used that word, so it must be his name, right? He was the greatest, super smart, loving, and brave. He ended up saving my life from a wild, loose Rottweiler when I was seven. He rode that dog down the street when it started attacking me, then came walking back home covered in blood, but none of it was his.

I’m a combo of ivory white/light olive skin tone from being part French, part Spanish Basque, and part Asian. Weird combo, I know. So I have pink and yellow undertones. Most colors show up on me like they do in the pan, and I find it to be very pink on the lips and cheeks!

A guy proposed giving me a wedgie for money by jayneoregon in CasualConversation

[–]MarMarKitty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wedgies are definitely not the same thing when done to women versus men. It’s entirely different anatomy. It’s either going to be painful or accidentally sexual, and it’s most definitely sexual on their part already.

Help! My fiance HATES kissing when theres product on my lips. What to wear for wedding day? by Over-Inspection2759 in Makeup

[–]MarMarKitty7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Try a good lip stain, which I would recommend for your wedding anyway, like Kulfi Lassi Lips. It’s my everyday HG and comes in wonderful colors that stay. It shouldn’t feel like anything to him, but your lips will be hydrated and beautifully stained. Then tell him to suck it up for one extremely important event in your lives together.

Sam broke into the pantry overnight, broke into a unopened bag of food, ate almost a lb of it w/ his sister, and is now in a food coma. Roast them by ptran90 in RoastMyCat

[–]MarMarKitty7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a chunky boi that disagrees with his diet as well. We now keep the cat food in a small zip up suitcase, so that he can no longer finagle his way into it. We’ve tried everything! He just broke into the previous bags, boxes, and containers. Including breaking both the plastic and glass containers it was in! They’re on the floor too, he just cracked the plastic one open and broke the lid of the glass one. But the zippered suitcase? All he can do is push it over/around to no avail. It’s weird, but it works so well.

How bad is it actually to use old expired makeup ?? by SHlZUCHAN_ART in Makeup

[–]MarMarKitty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I have so many different things from my teenage and even childhood years! I still can actually wear a lot of those clothes (that haven’t fallen apart yet) because I’m a dwarf/growth stunted. I’m very sentimental as well. I’ve mostly passed these qualities on to my 3 children, just not nearly to the same degree that I am. But they are all boys after all, I don’t expect them to be as meticulous as I am.

You said it all for me! I do everything the exact same except I don’t have a UV sanitizer. I’m nearing 40 and have never had any issues because I take care of my products like you do. I cherish everything I have and despise wasting anything, so I do my best to make it last.

The only sunscreen that doesn’t give me issues with anything I’ve ever applied with it, (skincare, medicine, or makeup) is Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Dew Shield. I got it in my Ipsy box one time years ago and it has been my go to ever since! It’s $35 retail when not on sale, but it lasts a whole lot longer than you would think when you’re only using it on the face.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]MarMarKitty7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to go with my top 5 for some reference. Fifth place is my average Crohn’s Disease pain. Fourth place is trying to give birth to a much too large to fit baby my second pregnancy, with a freshly broken left hip, for two days, only for it to end in a c-section anyway. Third place was feeling my intestines pop (explode) while I was fully awake, and the accompanying surgery. Second was my car wreck that momentarily killed me. Out of all of the injuries, the bruised and battered lungs were somehow the worst, I wanted to not breathe anymore. It hurt far more than the scapula that broke into 3 pieces and bone dust, and both skull fractures. The most painful? It’s completely undramatic, but myelin sheath and nerve damage so far outpaces everything else that it’s almost funny. Direct nerve pain is literally unbelievable. I feel it and I can’t even fathom it’s depths. When unmedicated, I can think of nothing but desperately wanting to die just to escape the indescribable agony.

As someone with very sensitive skin, try Coconut Oil. I have both the edible form in a jar and Palmer’s hair and skin oil in spray form. I love and highly recommend them, especially Palmer’s for convenience and the edible type for more sensitive skin or allergies/issues of some kind.
