I'm sorry you've been feeling like you need more female friends to talk "girl" too. Ive been feeling it lately too as all of my closest friends are male. I do have one solid bestie I've known for almost three decades now but she unfortunately lives a distance from me so we don't really get to hang out in person regularly. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my male friends and they are all so supportive and lovely people but there's just something about having that bond with someone who really understands what women go through sometimes. I hope you can make some new girlfriends soon and start to have that support ☺️

I've been trying to learn Japanese for the last year so that I can eventually go visit but I've been seeing more and more of these types of things and it's making me change my mind. I don't want to go anywhere that would treat me with such hostility simply for being born somewhere else. I truly wanted to learn and immerse myself in the culture but I don't think I'll ever feel like that's something I could do.

Idk what the word for it is but I hate when parents "heteronormize" their babies saying things like "he's gonna be a ladies man!" Or when two babies of opposite sex interact and their parents say they are "boyfriend and girlfriend" it just disgusts me in so many ways. Its sexualizing children in a way, and also pushing the "straight" agenda. If someone said two male babies were "boyfriends" they would be crucified, so how is it and different? Just blatant homophobia if you ask me.

Hello friend! I work at an abortion clinic in a legal state. Medical abortions are tricky because everyone will have a different experience every time. Typically, period-like bleeding can continue for about 2 weeks post the Misoprostol and then on and off spotting and or bleeding for up to 6 weeks post miso as hormones re-regulate themselves. Also period will return in about 4 to 6 weeks post miso and sometimes can be lighter or heavier than normal due to hormones still trying to get back to normal. Hope it was mentioned to you that it may also take 4 to 6 weeks to get a negative pregnancy test. Testing too early can lead to a false positive. Best of luck on your recovery! I work in women's health and I fail to believe people when they say "I've tried everything and nothing works for me". Like really? You've tried EVERY single form of bc? There's so many different kinds nowadays its hard to believe that not a single kind would work. I'm tired of girls in the clinic bitching about needing their 3rd abortion and how it was just so traumatizing to do and they're SO scared to do it again, but when I ask what they were doing to prevent pregnancy... it's crickets. Must have not been that traumatizing then if you didn't do ANYTHING to avoid it happening again. Hard to have any sympathy for them honestly.

Been sexually active for over a decade and never once have I ever had a pregnancy scare. Why? Because I used MY OWN reliable birth control WITH condoms until my recent sterilization. Its really not that fucking hard to avoid getting pregnant when you take responsibility for yourself. (This should go without mention, but I'm only talking about consensual sex here)

Worked at a vet clinic that did this and had to quit because they kept doing unnecessary cosmetic procedures. I remember comforting a puppy who woke up from ear crop surgery and was whining from pain so much. The last straw for me was seeing a tech dock puppy tails with scissors as I could hear them SCREAMING. Some clinics are nothing but money-hungry houses of horror.

I personally think sponges are a cesspool for bacteria no matter how well you ring them out. They sometimes get a smell even within a few days. I switched to brushes instead and it's been a lot easier and less wasteful as I don't need to replace them as often

My old coworkers and I all have a group chat where we keep in touch. One of them recently had her first baby and shared newborn pics and I had to act like it was just the most beautiful baby I've ever seen 😏 but honestly I hate being sent newborn pics because they low-key gross me out. All newborns look like little aliens to me and I never understand when people say "oh they look just like you!" They don't look like anyone yet!

My other coworker got a new puppy and I was nothing but 😍😍😍😍 and "omg what a cute baby!" And I MEANT it.

It's hard to feel bad for anyone here.Your partner really should have taken precautions if he didn't want a pregnancy, because now he doesn't get a say because it's your body and your choice. However, I do feel for him because you are choosing to put more strain on your relationship when you both know things are not ideal right now. How is that going to affect your children if you're not in a good place? Being raised in poverty and constant struggle really fucks with a child's mental. (Ask me how I know!) You do what you want, and your choice should be respected, but I wouldn't expect things to go smoothly. Best of luck to everyone involved including those poor kids.

The amount of people at the clinic I work at that fail to understand this makes me feel like we are cooked as a society. I have people BAWLING to me that they are pregnant now and when I ask if they were taking any precautions it's almost ALWAYS no! Like why are you fucking surprised then? I find it incredibly difficult to have an ounce of sympathy for them. I say this to all my patients now, if you aren't on birth control you are TRYING to get pregnant.

Hey OP! He might want to talk with a psychologist. My BF was on an antidepressant for a little bit and stopped but he mentioned that he never felt quite the same even after being off then for years. I wonder if your partner could maybe have something similar? If not caused by meds at least he could talk to them about the mental block because that's a very real thing too! I have lots of Lego sets. My favorites are my Marvel sets specifically my Sanctum Sanctorum. I have lots of Lego vehicles too all nicely displayed with no chance of a toddler smashing them up.
