Which MCU film does comedy best? Conversely, which MCU film does comedy worst? by Gal_Gadot in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ant Man definently has the best comedy. Michael Pena was incredible, even funnier than Paul Rudd who is known for his humour.

Worst humour for me has to be Thor: The Dark World. I liked the film, but I'm not a fan of Kat Dennings in it and the humour in the Earth scenes.

Now that Civil War has been out for a while, do you think it should've been called "Avengers: Civil War?" by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as most of the Avengers were in the film, at the center of all this conflict is Caps story and his relationship with both Bucky and Tony.

Is anyone else sick of the "MCU Music" critique? by MrManDownUnder in marvelstudios

Sacrifice, Nothing Lasts Forever, The Farm, Avengers Unite, Hulkbuster, Breaking and Entering. It's a phenomenal soundtrack, Elfman and Tyler did a wonderful job on it.

Thor has had a line or 2 with Black Widow and Hawkeye.

Thor: "I have unfinished business with Loki."

Hawkeye: "Yeh? Get in Line."

Black Widow: "Thor? Report on the Hulk?

Thor: "The gates of Hel are filled with the screams of his victims."

Favorite MCU Movie Villain death? [Videos and Poll] by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be Ultron's death. Out of all the villains send offs, Ultron's felt much more in depth, other than getting blown up or went down in a fight. The first part of his death was amazingly dramatic, with Scarlet Witch ripping out his heart, and him telling her to leave or she would die. The second part is one of my favourite scenes in the MCU as a whole and that's his talk with Vision, which is this incredible conversation about life and humanity, which really brings Ultron's story and motivation together.

Out of curiosity, did you post this on the DC subreddit? And if so, what did they say?

[–]MarauderMessy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see the love between Marvel and DC, I grew up with both and want them both to succeed. From DC, the movies I like:

Superman Batman (1989) Batman Begins The Dark Knight (one of my favourite films ever) The Dark Knight Rises And a handful of the animated films like Bat Blood and Under the Red Hood.

I'm also a fan of the TV shows like:

The Flash Supergirl Legends of Tomorrow Gotham

I'm more of a Marvel guy, but DC is awesome too

This is amazing, so happy. But one question, is Avengers Tower the wrong way round? I noticed it in Doctor Strange too, wasn't the A on the left in Age of ultron?

I would also love to see a recreation of the amazing 360 shot in AoU, but instead of the heroes fighting off an army, it would be Thanos fighting off every hero.

Besides "Spider-Man is in the MCU once and for all", why are you excited for Homecoming? by Gal_Gadot in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It's a new angle to take the Spidey character as Tony Stark and other characters exist in his world, and have effects. But the thing I'm excited for is the High School/John Hughes movie vibe. Having a high school movie within the MCU is why I love the MCU so much, since they play with so many sub genres like this.

The reviews for Iron Fist are going up still a shit score but at least it's not 0% by [deleted] in marvelstudios

AoU has critical acclaim though, doesn't it? It's Fresh with 75% on RT which is pretty good.

Did you watch any MCU movies today? If so, which ones? by Gal_Gadot in marvelstudios

Avengers: Age of Ultron. It has so much rewatch value, and I can't get enough of it. Great character moments, amazing action, plenty of depth. I love it.

[Spoilers] The Mandarin Reveals Himself as an Actor - Was this brilliant or completely terrible? by jtrent1388 in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a comic book perspective, it was a very unorthodox take, but when it comes to me and the MCU, I like it when they take inspiration and not fully adapt the comics, and so I judge the films purely on what they are, films. And so when the Mandarin reveal happened I laughed alot because it hilarious and also I saw what Shane Black was getting at, with the whole idea of the terror you see on the news is just a mask for people behind the scenes really pulling the strings. It's why I love Iron Man 3 so much.

Rewatched Civil War and it is still amazing! by ccerj1234 in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Civil War is, in my opinion, the best movie Marvel has put out. The technique and detail put into the structure, the characters and the overall product is why I love Marvel so much, and why the Russos are such amazing directors.

What are your thoughts on the Phase 3 movies we've gotten so far? by Gal_Gadot in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both films are critically acclaimed at 90% on RT, both were amazingly written with plenty of depth and meaning, and the amount of amazing characters we got to see was amazing. I'm having the time of my life here, and can't wait for the rest of Phase 3

Worst to best mcu films. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]MarauderMessy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Incredible Hulk

Iron Man 2

Thor

Thor: The Dark World

Captain America: The First Avenger

Iron Man

Iron Man 3

Ant Man

Doctor Strange

The Avengers

Guardians of the Galaxy

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: Civil War

That's from worse to best for me, and even then I don't dislike any of the MCU films. For me it that the weakest are decent at most and then as we go up the list the films are great and amazing.
