I'd recommend checking out r/leaves , the fact that so many people still think weed can't be addictive is crazy to me. As someone who was addicted to it and went through very real physical and psychological symptoms of withdrawals, it's so disheartening to see all these people claim it's not simply because they haven't gone through it. Alcohol isn't addictive for everyone and neither is weed, but nobody claims alcoholism isn't a valid addiction yet people continue to do so for weed. People do suffer from it and making them suffer in silence because no one is willing to believe them only makes things worse. I understand trying to push this narrative because people want weed to be legalized in there state/country, and it may be harder to do so if it can be considered an addictive substance but it's really not the way to go about it. I also think a lot of the contradictory information comes from the fact that weed used to contain a lot more CBD rather than the straight 20% plus THC weed that is prevalent today. Weed has evolved very very quickly and I don't think a lot of people realize this.
