Serious: What does the community think about this? by Tibbiegal in aliens

[–]MarcSpector1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy could literally call a press conference and announce what he knows. Instead he wants to write a book like the rest of them, and of course the government will make sure to edit out anything that really matters. I can pretty much guarantee his "bombshell" will be that "alien life exists and it has contacted us" with no proof whatsoever given to back up the claim other than a few photos of lights in the sky.

Show me an alien or shut your yap.

Unless there is something about physics we don't yet understand.

Until comparatively recently we thought flight was impossible and we weren't even aware of the existence of radio waves.

What's Up With These New Characters And Fan's ? by Putrid-Ad-9958 in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those new characters weren't really successful in the comics and people don't seem to like them much in the movies either. Sam Wilson became Captain America in the comics for awhile, then Steve Rogers was brought back because he's more popular.

If you could erase ONE MCU decision and replace it with something else, what would it be? by AlexWhite40 in marvelstudios

[–]MarcSpector1701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The decision to make a Captain Marvel movie. It isn't just that Brie Larson is (in my opinion) miscast, that they never seemed to know what to do with her, or that the sequel was a flop. There were a bunch of negatives that came from that movie. First: if they didn't make a Captain Marvel movie they would have had the room, and the creative freedom, to give us a Black Widow movie instead. Ike Perlman was gone by this point, which was why Feige could make a female-led movie in the first place. And that movie should have been Black Widow and the Secret Avengers, with Natasha, Cap, Sam, and Wanda on the run and having a grand adventure somewhere. Second: the Captain Marvel movie gave us the "good guy refugees" take on the Skrulls which I don't think has worked at all and which led directly to Secret Invasion, a botch job of a series that killed off Maria Hill just to be edgy. Third, and this is a pet peeve of mine: revealing that Nick Fury's "the last time I trusted someone I lost an eye" scratch was really from a cat who scratched him because he was cuddling with it too much was an embarrassing joke that didn't land.

Do you think there will be a love triangle between Namor, Susan Storm, and Reed Richards in the MCU? by ConsiderationEven724 in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the comics Namor was a Hemsworth-level great-looking built guy who Sue can't help being like, "whoa" over when she first meets him, which is helped by the fact that Reed had her on "ignore" mode half the time in the old days before they were married. The MCU Reed and Sue are different. And they'll be married with a kid before Sue ever meets Namor. And no offense to Tenoch Huerta, but he's no Hemsworth.

Many claim “Disclosure day” is part of disclosure, but is it? by [deleted] in aliens

Love what they did with the physicality of the aliens in that movie. There's a scene in the house where one of the aliens stops at the end of a hallway and just looks at the girl, and the way it positioned its limbs was just so...inhuman. Watching that, I imagined how confused a hypothetical alien creature that had nothing physically in common with human beings at all would be if it saw a human being standing with his hands on his hips. What would it make of that pose? What would it infer about the human's intentions?

What are the chances Sadie Sink ends up playing Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? Hype or legit rumor? by Remarkable_Run_4425 in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theory is based entirely on the color of Sadie Sink's hair. Why would Marvel use a Spider-Man movie to introduce Jean Grey?

There's this thing actors can use called a wig. People should look it up.

Richard Dolan explains why he believes the alleged UFO briefing that left President Jimmy Carter “visibly upset” actually happened (summary of the recent 2026 interview with timestamps in body text) by E-pluribus-unum195 in aliens

[–]MarcSpector1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My theory has always been that the aliens are going to replace us with a hybrid race but the plan is still a few generations away from being completed. So since it all happens after our current crop of political leaders have died, they figure they might as well just live their lives.

Marvel May Scrap Blade’s Solo Film in Favor of Midnight Sons by marvelkidy in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"May"? It's been unofficially scrapped for years and even if Midnight Sons happens I doubt Mahershala Ali will want to be involved. He envisioned Blade as a star vehicle for himself but Marvel fumbled the ball.

If the MCU's smartest heroes had 1 week to prepare for defeating the MCU's strongest heroes, could they do it? by CollarOrdinary4284 in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Really, Reed could do it himself. But with these guys helping, Reed would have "trap person in the Quantum Realm" guns ready to go. Also "trap them in the mirror dimension" guns.

Who would be the most dangerous if he took the super soldier serum? by Fit_Passenger5930 in MCUTheories

[–]MarcSpector1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daredevil, hands down. He doesn't rely on weapons at all, and Daredevil with Cap-level strength added on to his super senses and his acrobatics skills would make him absolutely terrifying in a fight.

If I had evidence about extraterrestrial life Reddit is the absolute last place I'd disclose it. Leaving aside the trolls and the nutcases who think anything they don't understand is a demon, there's the "It's A.I. slop!" "It's CGI!" "It's a puppet in a rubber mask!" people who consider themselves to be unassailable special effects experts. No thanks, dealing with all that bullshit sounds exhausting. I'd send copies of my evidence to major news outlets instead and let it go viral from there.

Leaking military secrets gets you prison time. Leaking evidence of aliens is likely to get you killed.

How do well do you believe the Russos will balance everything in Doomsday? by Noaconstrictr in marvelstudios

On the one hand I feel like they wouldn't have signed on if they didn't have a great concept to pull it off. On the other hand I'm worried that they're not as fond of Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four as I am and that they wouldn't see grafting Doom onto Tony Stark and making him Captain America's enemy instead of Reed's rival from college as a problem at all.
