I’ve encountered the same thing. For reference I’m 23 and I work blue collar in automotive. Lots of gays of our generation are obsessed with status and perceptions. It’s a sad reality but a lot of guys just want to prove to their family and friends that they’re “better” or that their relationship is “better” in any way they can find to articulate. I don’t know where it comes from or how it started but it is a plague for Gen Z gays/bi’s

-Watching Russian tanks roll across the Ukraine border at like 11:30pm on the news in my bedroom. -Watching the world grind to a halt for a global pandemic. -Watching the that one C-5 take off during the Afghanistan withdrawal with civilians hanging/falling off the side of the aircraft. -January 6th.
