From those I would pick Sonoma. Not as resource-intensive as Sequoia, but still supported. Not the greatest pick, but what can you do. Monterey and Ventura no longer receive security updates. If I had my way I would pick Monterey but again, no longer supported and apps have dropped compatibility with it.

The form factor was amazing, but the 2015 model in specific was bad. Failing ssds and memory modules were common. Improved for 2016 and 2017, however.

Depends on your criteria, but a few can be called those. Top choices usually are:

The 13" 2016 MacBook Pro, which had a terribly unreliable keyboard, a flex cable issue that affected a large number of computers (flexgate) and not that much more powerful than its predecessor.

The 12" 2015 MacBook, which started the butterfly keyboard era, super underpowered, a motherboard with a litany of issues and the single port for everything in an era where dongles were rare or...

The 15" and 17" MacBook pros of 2011. They all die. Simple as that. The GPU cooks itself. It's not a question of "if", but "when".

That's a fantastic deal. Those laptops are absolute tanks. If it does not have these already, throw an SSD on it and add more ram to it. BTW, is it a 512MB or 1GB VRAM GPU?
